See, this is what happens when I don't pay attention: DC Nation (on the Cartoon Network) starts cranking out quick episodes of Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld.

Let me repeat that: AMETHYST: PRINCESS OF GEMWORLD.

If, somehow, you never read this comic, let me say it again: AMETHYST: PRINCESS OF GEMWORLD.

Sometimes, the universe is very kind.

So. What's your favorite YA series of late?

Yay!

I always found it wonderful fun. I know that Amethyst was suppose to have been made specifically for the young, female demographic, but that does not change the fact that there is a good story (with decent characters) in-between those pages! Three cheers!!

I didn't know you were an Amethyst fan. They brought her back in comic form a few months ago, as the lead feature in a new "Sword of Sorcery" series. But it didn't sell well, and they just announced the cancellation. I think there will be seven issues, total.

Of the DC Nation shorts I've seen, my favorites are the ones featuring Plastic Man, with character designs by Stephen DeStefano ('Mazing Man!)
