  • I'm at AnthroCon in Pittsburgh, PA this weekend. Concert tonight at 8:30, another Saturday at 3:30. And all day in the dealers' room Friday, Saturday (except for the concert, of course) and Sunday. Come on down and say Hi.
  • Still working on music, although ideally I'll have new live shows up tomorrow, certainly by Saturday.
  • Okay, this is kind of a biggie. Over the past few years, I've written some fanfic. Some of it kinda kinky and all. Almost all Potterverse, although I've got a B5 story I'll post soon. If you want to read the first wave of it, click here. Not safe for work.
  • Dunno if shares in Fae Hollow are still available, but you can try. Or, just make a donation to help Alexander James Adams keep his homeland. Do note the $10 default amount on the donation box, you can change it.
Ready... set... Pimp Your Stuff!

Those of you with viewer2 compatible viewers in Second Life, go by the Relay for Life stores and find the one for the Passionate Redheads. I have created SL's first and only (as far as I know) working weather radar, and it's sold exclusively there to raise money for Cancer Research. It will be available through my store eventually, but it won't be half price like it is now. Fight cancer while putting in your own weather station so you can see what weather exists around you and around your friends.

And no, I don't make one groat -- all the cash goes to the Cancer Society.

I wish embeds worked in comments...

I have a new song up. Recording this song taught me a lot. I think it shows.

Enjoy Shout at the Desert (free play link at Bandcamp, also downloadable). As "Stay Away" is a song for the desperate, "Shout" is a song for the lost.

eta: this one works best with better speakers or a headset, mostly for the organ.

"GOWRON SAID KNOCK YOU OUT (2010 Edition)"
by the great Luke Ski - http://www.thefump.com
Download it now for free at The Funny Music Project

Dementia is a dish best served cold... Actually, in Klingon, the word "FuMP" translates to the noise made when they pound your sorry red-shirted butt into the ground. This is the second of two tracks I re-made for my "Greatest Hits Volume 1" 2-CD set, available now at Luke Ski dot com. The previous 1996 studio and 2003 live recordings of this Star Trek related parody of LL Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out" were both done with live bands, so as to recreate his then famous appearance on MTV Unplugged. I always wanted to make a proper version of this song to match the original hip-hop single, and thanks to honor-full Chief Music Officer Ja'Rhed, son of Rihng'Kold, and back-up warriors Jer'Hed Per'Hez, Khan Sher'LocQ, and MaHt Du'Hann, victory was ours! So pour some bloodwine on the bridge of your Bird of Prey for your fallen comrades in Sto-Vo-Kor, and rock out to this Klingon hit!

Hi Tom. Hope you had fun at DucKon. Sorry about the sound system and the fire alarm. For those who went, there was a lot of changing of the guard and for a lot of people (including myself) it was their first con in their new positions. (And for the record, I copied the hotel's address from the hotel's website. So all those who got lost due to my address blame the hotel. It's fixed now for next year at least.)

Any chance the DucKon concert will be made available? That improv song you did was hilarious (no spoilers to those who weren't there).

DucKon was just fine, fire alarms notwithstanding. One of the shows I have to over is the Duck show, to see if the audio's good enough. At this point, I'll be doing that tomorrow morning.

My daughter really liked the concert Sunday; I had to miss it because I was cleaning the con suite. It's a dirty job, but, well, you know.

I did enjoy your singing the phone book.

One thing you did say you were working on was a PDF file of all of your lyrics. Was that just for your personal use, or were you going to let us pay you for copies?

Oh, absolutely, my friend. That'll be the Big Book Of Stupid Filk Tricks: Director's Cut, and it will have every lyric I've ever committed that I can find.

I'm only sorry I didn't actually see more of your concert myuself... but I was busy having a ball generally, and I think you'll forgive me. But you did kiss my hand very prettily in the lobby outside the concert room!

Ah, thank you, milady. And I hope you'll forgive me for not catching more of your set as well. But you do have a very kissable hand. ;)
