Boingboing.net tells us of a Half-Life map recreating Disney's Adventurer's Club:

That's kinda neat! :)

Is that a real part of one of the Disney theme parks? (I've been to Disney once...to EPCOT in the evening after a conference I was working. Best part of the trip...going on the NASA Space simulator ride. Worst parts...the American Experience show didn't work after we got seated so didn't get to see that and the two Imaginariums were closed that evening as there was a company opening an exhibit there. Loved the live music and the ride up into the big ball....)

It was. Part of Pleasure Island, which closed up a couple of years ago. the BoingBoinb article has a few links to the history of the AC... and also to the Half-Life mod, so you can download it and check it out yourself.

That is amazing! I may have to obtain the game just so I can wander around in it and explore the Club again...Kungaloosh!

Hee. I was there the night before it closed. This is quite a faithful representation. Kungaloosh!

Beautiful. So beautiful. And a keen reminder that Disney threw away a rare gem of Imagineering when they closed the club.

Why do I only learn about these things after they cease to exist?
