FEZZES!

(I've seen four other people cite the "Fezzes are cool" line, and _no one_ has spelled the plural of "fez" correctly.)

HaHa! Having never needed to pluralize "fez", I didn't even think about it!

Hmm...

In short.

- Go Rory!
- Yeah Amy!
- If you believe in Doctors, clap your hands!

A nice episode, a little 'weak' for a season finale I have to say since it so heavily relies on not one, but two Deus Ex Devices (not counting the Screwdriver).
It's kindof meh as it makes the entire past season just a setup for the Christmas special or the next season and that just takes away a little bit of 'oomph' that was set up in the previous episode.

I was REALLY hoping for Omega to show up. All of spacetime being eaten up by the TARDIS to keep her passenger alive is just the thing a malicious Time Lord made of Pure Willpower needs to finally leave that boring Antimatter Universe. :D
That said, I hope they don't make him the throw-away villain of the season for the special. And yes, I am hoping a lot for this one name, but there's been some persistant casting rumors for an actor for Omega floating around...

This is not your father's wibbly-wombly, timey-wimey Time Lord.

As we see the TARDIS come crashing into Amelia's life in 1996, why do we see The Milineum Wheel as part of London's landscape/nightscape? Was it built by 1996?

The wheel was formally opened on Dec. 31, 1999. Construction seems to have begun in 1998... but that's our timeline. Evidently, without all those stars to waste time looking at, the inhabitants of that one got a bit ahead on construction schedules.

Yeah... and that brings up, what is for me, a personal pet peeve. There's a lot of science, and history (over the past 1800 or so years) that was kinda reliant on knowledge of the stars in the sky. Navigation, for example.

Maybe they found another method for navigation. Possibly one that involved giant wheels.

The starless earth was a weak shadow. Don't expect plot consistencies from a weak shadow.

Rory better get open credits companion status for what he did in this episode!! I liked that they did not answer all of the questions raised at the end of the season. The adventure continues, and that is a good thing. Now I wonder who called the hot line this time :-)

I just caught up with everything from 2005 onward, I think (Dr. Who, Torchwood, incl. specials and radio plays). What fun!
