I have only seen the last two episodes and something really bothers me about Amanda.
It starts with the roasted chicken with the sherry jus for SCHOOL KIDS. Alcohol and children, in any combination, strikes my personal Puritanical streak. Then her reasoning of it at Judges' Table. "It's not like I gave it to them to drink."
Then this week, the quickfire challenge to make a pie. She ends up making one where one of the main ingredients is bourbon. Then, in a confessional they show her talking about problems she had in her early 20's where she admitted that she got into cocaine and pills and eventually anything she could try.
I understand addictive personalities and recovery. That said, I think that Amanda still has some issues she needs to deal with that she might not even realize.

The pie quickfire thing? Why are all of these accomplished chefs so afraid of pie?
I kind of liked Tracey.
