Great con, lots of fun. I'll be doing some more pimpin' on Thursday, but many, many thanks to my buddy and favorite liaison [personal profile] per_solo, Chairman Kat, John and all the rest of the gophers, Laura, Author GOH Keith A. DiCandido, Wild Mercy, Juanita Coulson, Marc Gunn, my roomie C. J. Henderson, Sally, Dawn, etc., etc., etc., etc. Muy fantastico, and I even made a little money. ;) Next up, LibertyCon in Chattenoogie.

How has your Independence Day weekend been?

You would know. You were there. :-)

It was a great InCon weekend; so glad everything went well for you. Still say that was one of the best Rocket Rides ever on Saturday night...and an awesome Hyperspace Cryogenic Insomnia Blues sing-a-long.

See you at D*Con!

So many hugs, beautiful lady. :) And the recording of the Saturday night set seemed to work out, so I'll try to have that up this week. I've got a few others to get ready as well.

Wish we could have been at one of the cons this weekend. But next July 4 is Contata, so those of us on the concom are counting down the days, with expectation and trepidation.

As noted elsewhere, we saw Toy Story 3. Just amazing that they keep hitting home runs. Also watched some Farscape and Fraggle Rock as we make our way through box sets. Tomorrow, it's onto start watching Chuck on the rec of a friend, and maybe a movie.

Wasn't TS3 great?

And, yeah, I've gotta update the calendar for ConTata. I've also gotta remind InCon that I won't be there next year.

I would greatly appreciate that, Chris. I kind of agreed to it after I was supposed to go in 2008. Stupid leg.

It is. She had a successful surgery a couple of weeks back for cancer that was discovered VERY early. (Get yourself checked out, for anything that you should when you reach the age recommended.)

Great concert today, went well, wore out my voice (which has gotten so much better over the last couple of months as I figured a couple of things out - I got compliments specifically on my "beautiful" voice today), and generally lots of fun! But also more social snubbing, which has reached the point of really pissing me off - enough so that the goodness from the show isn't drowning out the bad from this, which is no fun. I wish I was better at blowing stuff like that off.

Also, I miss InConJunction. That's the latest I've dead-dogged a convention - a little group of four of us finally gave up 10pm the day after the last official day of the con. Good times.

Any word on when your AC concerts will be up, or will you put all of 'em up in a batch?

Hoping to have Duck, AC, and InCon all up at Bandcamp this week. Likely in a batch. Individual tracks, which is why it's taking a bit longer.

Glad you had a blast! I was the guy who tried to find that woman who lost her badge and ID at your concert. I hope you can make it back next year! :) Oh, and my Mom loved your concert at the opening ceremonies. It was the first year I could get her to come out.

Glad she liked it. :) Unfortunately, as we all just figured out above, I will not be back next year, as I'd already agreed to go to ConTata on the East coast. However, I should be back for 2012.

I'm so glad I finally made it to your concert at Incon. Every year I seem to miss it but not this time! Glad you had fun!

I've been to so many conventions this year I feel like I'm accidentally stalking some of the guests and vendors.

overall, not bad. Trying to cope with the fallout from DucKon wasn't much of a high point. Neither was everyone canceling my game AFTER I bought the munchies. But I got new neighbors who seem like nice people. Their stuff didn't come yet so I loaned them my gaming table and chairs. I invited them over for some grilling. They liked the salmon marinades I invented (generally taking 2-3 ingredients I had in the kitchen along a theme and putting them in ziplock bags with the fish to thaw). There was some rain which was OK. I was done by the time it got bad. Oh and my cat got to go outside and be admired. The new neighbor's toddler finally got the courage to pet him (he never saw a cat up close before). Yeah, it was a good day.

Working on catching up with life in general after two months of con-running (Balticon filk track and Conterpoint) and last week's family woes.

Did make our annual pilgrimage to the US Capitol for concert and fireworks, along with Clan MacKay who was still in town.

Looking forward to Confluence and NASFiC!

Definitely!

I'm hoping they post a schedule soon so [livejournal.com profile] the_sheryl and I can start planning out the weekend. Besides BBQ sorties, we want to pop over to Durham for a Bulls game one of the nights. Since Bull Durham is on the list of all-time favorite movies for both of us, we can't pass up a night at the 'ol ballyard...
