Pimp Your Stuff Thursday
Jul. 22nd, 2010 03:22 pm- If you've been thinking of getting some of my download albums, this is a good time to do it. Nothing special -- just the end of the month coming. :)
- This Saturday and Sunday, I'll be at S.M.A.C.C., the Southeastern Michigan Arts and Creativity Conference, at the Doubletree Inn in Dearborn, MI. $5.00 to get in online, $10.00 at the door. Lots of creative types there, including Carl Lundgren, William Messner-Loebs, and our own William Waldrop. Various indie films, dancing, and music. I've got a set at 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
- Also close to home for me is Jason Contardi, a friend of a friend, who does landscaping. The promo he's got for his one-page web site? His own yard.
- NPR is polling the top 100 thriller novels among its listenership. Seanan's Feed is one of the contenders. Click here to vote. Now look at Rob Wynne's LJ. Now look at me. Back to Rob. Back to me. Back to Seanan. Back to me. The poll is now an infinite collection of clicky boxes. I'm on a dead horse.
- Y'know that sign in the ER or doctor's office that uses happy and sad faces to help you "rate your pain" from 0 to 10? Anne pointed me to a version that's a tad more realistic.
ETA: Signal Boost for Heather Borean.

Date: 2010-07-23 02:28 am (UTC)Since many of Tom's fans are cat lovers, the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee is in the final days of their fundraiser. They set an ambitious goal (overly ambitious IMHO) but they may JUST MAKE IT. I already gave, so everyone else, Help Teh Kittehs!

Oh and Pharyngula is back up. I remember someone mentioning how the "unofficial" plan for Phelps at Comic Con was to ignore him. Well that plan didn't work. I like what happened better.
