Just a quick reminder that, today and tomorrow, I'll be at the first-yaar Southern Michigan Art and Creativity Conference at the Doubletree Hotel in Dearborn, MI. Art, music, all-night indie film festival. Admission is only $10 at the door. I've got a concert at 5:00 p.m. today.

What else is going on this weekend?

Shelly and I will be there midday and early afternoon, but not around for your concert (dammit!). Was asked to attend by Freon, for TriTac Games (wasn't originally gonna be there....), then my Biweekly Saturday RPG group.....

I'll pretty much be inside all weekend. After work yesterday I took my car to the dealer because of a squeaking noise in the engine. The problem was a belt and a camshaft censor. They were close to breaking and if they did break it would damage the engine and require major repairs. So I bit the bullet and let them keep the car until it's fixed. (I had to ask my neighbors if they could drive me to and from work on Monday.)

This weekend my group in City of Heroes is celebrating their 6 year anniversary so last night I checked my internet speed. It was 6.5 Mb/s which sounded slow. I contacted my ISP and was told to reset the cable modem. That led to spending an hour on the phone with tech support trying to actually connect to the internet PERIOD. In the end, I discovered it was my 11 year old router that was the choke point and if I connected directly to the modem I would get speeds over 20 Mb/s.

So no car, hot weather, a fast internet, and my fellow Superheroines online; guess what I'm going to be doing.

Louisville is hosting a music festival called HullabaLOU. Among the featured acts are Bon Jovi, The Dave Matthews Band, and Kenny Chesney.

A co-worker told me that some friends had offered him some backstage passes. He had to turn them down, because as usual, he's working this weekend.

So am I . . . and I'm rather hoping that all the crazies will be at Chruchill Downs rather than coming to my place.
