Sorry for the double comment. It wasn't letting me edit.
Aug 1 is the release of my new book Chain-Male (http://www.amberquill.com/AmberAllure/ChainMale.html). It's a university librarian and geeky mechanic having a romance that involves Byzantine chain, Xena, Star Wars and historical re-enactment.
A song about Zombie Love - This is a live archive version from an SL show. I'm currently working on the studio version which should be a lot of fun: http://www.reverbnation.com/tunepak/2759032
The studio version of a song about Killer Robots: http://www.reverbnation.com/tunepak/2549985
Both will be on my upcoming album of Odd/Phannish stuff. I'd be open to talking to the Fump folks about these too. Luke?
Huge like!! Yes, please submit these songs to the FuMP. The Mad Music Archive may also be interested in them (I know that I want to vote for them on the Dementia Top 20 there).
Up in the Aether: The Flight of the Phoenix - aka Steampunk Night at the Phoenix Cafe Friday, Aug 6th at 7pm til close. Yours truly will be spinning the best in steampunk, dark cabaret and other fine musical endeavors. A period dance demonstration will also be presented. The cafe offers coffee, tea, pop and some assorted snacks. BYOB (cannot serve alcohol, but it can be consumed). 18 and over. $5 cover at the door.
Also, a friend of mine is opening a steampunk themed bookstore and cafe, called Off the Beaten Path, in Farmington on October 1st. A few events are currently being scheduled. More details to come. If you're in the area, stop on by any time and support your local book seller!
Unfortunately I don't have any sample MP3s online or anything, but for a while yet all four of my mostly a cappella filk CDs are still available: "Scratch [These] Vocals" (from 2006), "More Vocals in the Monitors" (2008), "Vocals Up a Third" (2009), and "Vocals Sounding Fourth" (2010). About half of the material on each album is (supposed to be) funny and it's almost all SF/F/H-related. The latter three albums feature duets with Kira Heston; "Vocals Sounding Fourth" (which is almost sold out) includes six of these duets, as well as three tracks with accompaniment. Any of the albums can be yours for $10 plus shipping; get all four for $35 plus shipping. (I can't guarantee that there won't be some mild cracking in some of the CD cases -- sorry about that!) Orders should be PayPaled to mrgoodwraith [at] yahoo [dot] com. Thanks!
Does anyone know if it's still possible to buy copies of "Carmen Miranda's Ghost" on CD? I bought the tape (eons ago) from Firebird Arts, and I'm pretty sure I bought my CD from them too... but it doesn't seem to still be available. My copy has gone missing and I'd like replace it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The song, Carmen Miranda's Ghost has done a digital jump, but only as a cover on the Concertino 2009 Premium member CD. (It was covered by Lois Mangan and Gary McGath.) As for the rest of the album, unfortunately, its not going to happen any time soon. :( There are LesLac songs on that album I wish would be releasable and permissions are not going to happen. (I know, I tried on one of them.)
As for the tape itself, drop me an email, I might have a solution.
It is track 6 of the CD Dr Demento's Hits from Outer Space. So it is officially available on CD in a way you should be able to find. Check Dr Demento's website or your favorite online CD store.
Edit: Oh, you are looking for a CD of a full Leslie Fish tape of that name, not the song itself. Okay, my error.

My first movie, Destination: Outer Space (http://sainteuphoria.com/dos.html) is out on dvd now. It's an homage to sci fi and horror films of the 60s, with all the schlock and campy dialog you could want. And with cool fx.
The trailer is right here (http://sainteuphoria.com/dos_trailer.html), and I play the bartender in a Star Wars Cantina-like setting.
Check it out, you never know, you might fall in love with the movies like I did.
