Pimp Your Stuff Thursday

So much stuff this week I'm going to break it into two parts and have a Pimp Your Stuff Friday:

• First and foremost, I'm giong to NASFiC in Raleigh, NC this weekend. It actually starts today; I'll be singing tomorrow and Saturday, and just hangin' out a lot. So will Rob Balder, Devo Spice, and Shoebox. That's right, we're gettin' the band back together. Oh, and, there will be barbecue. Oh yes, there will be barbecue.
• I remind you gently of that LibertyCon set I have at my Bandcamp page. And any other of my albums you might want to download. ;)
• S.M.A.C.C., a couple of weeks ago, was small but pretty cool. I'll have more links tomorrow, but we'll start with an old fannish friend, William Waldrop, who's the chief modeller for Current Motor Company, building some damn fine looking electric motorcycles. Seriously, check this one out.
• Another of the many fine artists there was Juana Moore, who makes portraits, shrines, dolls, beads, and toys.
• I also met Odd and Lizzie of Mad World Radio. NSFW.
• And there's the very cool Michigan Independent Film.
• Last but certainly not least, a crowdfunding project you might find interesting. Around the end of last year, I found out about a guy named Drew Bates, who independently came up with the idea of Redneck Ninjas. I wrote a song; he worked up a potential animated series. (To which I may end up doing the music, hee.) He's trying to finance a 60-second animated short.

It looks interesting. I thought about going but 1) I made the foolish assumption that a trial run would be free or cost less than other cons 2) by the time I realized my mistake the pre-reg has passed and would cost $60 to get in 3) from the look of the schedule there wasn't enough to keep my interest to justify the money.

I do wish you luck and plan on attending next year. I hope it goes well!

Neoncon, a Las Vagas gaming con, is partnering up with Gencon and a buch of others and running a live video stream of Gencon. You can watch it at the Gencon webpage or at www.neoncon.com. My best friend from high school, Jules, is one of the two hosts filming the con and conducting interviews.

Placed my order tonight. I look forward to the CoX songs (having been a player from day 1). I also got "Just Me and my Guitar". It's pretty good so far. I looked I didn't see a downloadable version of Geek Mythology. I would have preferred that (instant gratification and all that), but getting a physical product is good too. You know, for that day when a hard drive will crash. Like death, it comes for everyone.

I'm shipping your CD today. I would have shipped it yesterday, but since you placed your order after 5pm Pacific Time Thursday, it didn't get processed by my bank until close of business yesterday.

I just listened to it going to & from Faerie Escape Atlanta [w/Ellen Kushner, Delia Sherman, Charles Vess, etc.]. It's a very fun album!

Excellent. I'm glad you like it. Wow. I haven't seen Charles Vess since he and Neil Gaiman were working on Stardust together. That must have been ComicCon 1993 or 94. Love his work.

I should no doubt pimp my own music but I'm too busy working on the Great Big Sea Karaoke Video contest with annathepiper. Music's finished but embargoed or I'd link to it! We've done one day of shooting so far; three more days coming up Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
