Recovering from ded of teh awesome. Vixy and Tony and Heather Dale packed Wayward Coffee to the doors last night for Sereneversary, and the Browncoats were not disappointed... Vixy debuted *two* new songs last night, "Hope You Don't Mind" (for which she'd posted lyrics) and the big surprise, "Eight Leg Blues" (sp?), which is, as the title implies, a good old-fashioned dangerous eight-bar blues song about... eight-leggers. (Spiders, not aliens. :) Heather did chanteys, then they all got together and made "Emerald Green" sound like a mini-sypmhony... from the left, Sunnie, Betsy, Heather on keys, Tony, Vixy, and Ben on mando...

Heather's bodhran was a neat technical setup; Ben had clipped a wee mike he'd got in Germany designed for a snare drum inside on one of the crossbars and pointed it at the head; the other end was a standard XLR connector. That meant that mike stayed with drum no matter how wild things got... and they got pretty wild by the time we cheered them into encoring with "Kashmir"... poor Vix managed to wing herself pounding Echo (her big ashiko drum) into oblivion, but I agree with her tweeted assessment: WORTH IT!

Might go ride in a little while. Got some prezzies to deliver. :)

Indulging in the wonderful cheese that is the Ruby Spears Mega Man cartoon. Horrible puns abound!

One apple crisp in the oven, two more in the makings. David finished cleaning the gutters, and stuff has been reinstalled in the garage (minus 2 chairs going elsewhere on Tuesday). I need to go do several hours of work, and make dinner when I get home. All n all, productive.

I cut the hem mods for a mad scientist lab coat, went out & bought white bias tape/thread for said coat; and will complete the hand work on my Halloween Spanish ropa for TRF shortly. Geez, you'd almost think I enjoy sewing (I don't).

Maybe I'll plug in the Count of Monte Cristo Gankutsuou to watch as I sew.

Laaaaaaaaaaaaazy day. I kinda overdid it on drums the last few days (and then too much typing) so BIG LAZY DAY for me! Yay! I have a new song for Monday ready already too. Yay!

Quietly cheering you on with your re-installing and regrouping. Understanding the re-installing less thang, as I will be doing the same, once I can manage a new MOBO/CPU combo.

As for me, putting all the on the loose sewing patterns and paraphernalia into appropriate plastic bags, for both proper storage, and transport, for those things heading to the other side of somewhere, other than here.

Later, Bitty Girl (my service midget) is getting a bath, and my brand new bitty heater, for Mama Rhainy is getting hooked up, so next time I am freezing, I have warmth. :-)

I'll tell you this: MicroCenter had some rather good deals, and I could go pick up the CPU/mobo, so if there's one near you that might be a good way. I'm sure they have comparable stuff at New Egg, but sometimes I just want it in my hands now, y'know?

Got yard work done. Again the volume of the Compost bucket determined the amount of shrubery I mangled to get in said bucket.

I spent the day moving more stuff from my house to my fiance's house. Then I took her and my soon-to-be stepdaughter to the firing range (at their request) for an afternoon of fun, and now we're about to have dinner.

Just got home after helping cater my little sister's bridal shower. 15 hours of helping bake, then 4hrs of socializing makes for a dead roommate and dead me, LOL.

Next weekend...bachelorette party. FSM save us all...

Had my daughter with me yesterday, so I had today to myself. I even watched some football today.

It's probably a little late for this, but did you keep a log as to what you installed? I find it to be a great aid to troubleshooting.

Actually, I kinda did. I'm loading things into a single folder and running them from there. Biggest diff right now is that the Native Instruments Service Center doesn't want to work (no surprise, NI's copy protection mania is wrapped in the bullshittiest code I have ever had to beat on to register my damn paid-for software), so I haven't got their guitar plugins to work with Acid Pro yet. Everything else is going very well, though. And, ha ha, much faster. I really had a lot of crap on this build.

Relaxing after a rather stressful drive to and from an enjoyable time in Baltimore...

On the way in, I had the stadium traffic and much screaming in frustration was done by me.

On the way back, it was raining (sometimes hard) and some kid tried to squeegee my windshield when I was stopped at a light... while my wipers were on. X-D

Ian's show was worth the trip, but next time I'm going to remember to check for Ravens games so I can plan my departure time accordingly.

Went through the gruesome upper and lower ball joint installs on my '93 Dakota.

Was a tough job but thankfully I had two friends who were/are mechanics help get the job done. I owe the one friend for front shocks.

I also...tried to cut my own hair this weekend. Made a complete mess of it and had to use a number 2 comb on the trimmer to get everything even. No big deal as my hair grows faster. And this way I can keep trimming it with the trimmer at a 3 or 4 and not pay for haircuts for a while.

And finally am endlessly studying for the CCNA router exam while taking said class.

Took two of my friends through Universal on Sunday. The only thing they wanted to do was spend time in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I feel bad about that very limited tourism, but they enjoyed themselves thoroughly, and they bought me lunch at the Three Broomsticks.

Oh...one of the people I took is very large (making Mr. Smith look svelte by comparison) and to save her feet, I pushed her through both parks in a manual wheelchair. Found out that as a Team Member, I could rent the chair for free. I discovered that this is a secret exercise program to get you to strain your back and shoulder muscles to the limit. If I did this every day, I'd have shoulders like Steve Reeves. As it is, the day after, I just hurt. (But it's a good hurt. A worthy hurt.)
