That's the name of the new album from our friend and fellow FuMPer Steve Goodie. It's a kids album with nineteen songs, twelve of which are about Harry Potter, and if you pre-order it by this weekend you can get it, either as a physical CD or a download, for only five bucks. To whet your appetite, here's Steve's authorized parody of Weird Al's "Hardware Store":

I haven't sought them out, but I have to say my favourite video for Hardware Store is:

Tom, do you think Steve would be interested in a filk dealer carrying his CD?

Most likely. Contact him through his web site.

This was impressive enough when I first heard it (on the FuMP, I think) but the video is pretty freakin' cool.

See, this is something that's bugged me about 'Hermione Granger, the Pirate Queen'-- 'Voldemort' already rhymes with 'Gryffindor'! You don't need to stretch it to make it fit! Although it is funnier that way, so maybe it's okay.

Wow. That's a pretty ambitious song to parody - and he delivered on it.

"Hey, It's Can(n)on" is one of my wife's favorite songs (and probably her favorite comedy song) - I suspect that, "kids' album" or not, a CD full of Harry Potter songs will make a pretty nice gift. Thanks for the link!

I think that one was a genre parody (e.g. Germs after Nine Inch Nails, or Everything You Know Is Wrong after They Might Be Giants)...not sure who of though. Or maybe it was just original?
