Heh. No sooner do I hear this on newsradio than you post it. Timing is everything!

Speaking of which, right after this report, they did a currently frequent ad, by Amex pimping their Small Business Saturday (the day after Black Friday) in which several folks are thankful for small businesses. This one ends with a man being grateful for Zingerman's Deli's chili cheese bread. (I've only been there once, but that was enough to convince me that it's the best deli outside New York, and surpasses 99.99% of ours.)

(Final note: Zingerman's catalog came last week in the mail. I'm trying hard NOT to look at it too much; it raises my blood sugar 30 points every time I even think about it :-)

Hee. The Chili Cheese bread is only eclipsed by the Parmesan Peppercorn bread. ;) Amazing stuff.

Wait, no, the chocolate cherry bread eclipses them both. ;) And in another category completely, the green olive Paesano is also delish. But yeah, they rock.

What about the vegatables? Wasn't The Man gonna make him the Veggie Monster, and have cookies be a 'sometimes treat'??
Thank goodness that wasn't on here...!

I haven't watched SNL in over a decade.

If they had Cookie Monster as the host, I would have to watch. Might make for the most viewed episode the show has ever seen.

You beat me to it. This is the only thing I would watch SNL for these days. I have not liked it since 81.

I don't know whether to cheer or be very, very afraid.... Given the somewhat off-color humor done on SNL, are we prepared to see a muppet, especially one from Sesame Street, involved?

Well, Jim Henson made puppets for the first season of SNL. I'm not sure Cookie Monster is the right fit, but I've seen post-watershed interviews of Elmo and Kevin Clash that are a little out there but nothing you wouldn't have seen on The Muppet Show.

Actually, what they should do is have Jason Segel host in advance of the new Muppet movie.

Where's the comments from Waldorf and Statler?

If they get him to host it, the band should be electric Mayhem.

Different owners. Disney didn't buy the Sesame Street muppets.

While I was watching this I had my "Alien Encounters - Classic Movie & TV Sci-Fi Themes" CD playing. It is a very surreal video to watch with the Main and End Title from "One Step Beyond" as background music...

I would only accept Cookie Monster as an SNL host if ShoEboX was the musical guest, and he sang "C Is for Lettuce," his tribute to the awful political correctness forced on Cookie Monster.
