A homeless guy named Ted Williams... who has an amazing voice. First watch the video, then look through the comments for updates.

Oh, good. I'd seen the video earlier, but hadn't heard about the updates with the job offer, so I'm glad you posted about it. It's nice to be reminded that we have our moments as a species.

Oh my stars, I used to live about two blocks from that exit! If I still lived in Columbus I would have seen him every day. And what a voice! I hope he enjoys his new job a lot.

I saw that clip last night on Keith Olbermann...or maybe on Lawrence O'Donnell's show, one of the two. It was awesome. I'm so delighted to see that he's actually gotten a job offer (well, his *choice* of job offers)! It's an amazing story.

It was on Countdown, during "Oddball." And oh, my GOD, what a voice. I'm so glad he's getting the leg up he needed.

Thank you for the 411! :-) Mind like a steel sieve, that's me.

Mr. Williams' voice was amazing! Also, wow, 71 years old? That gentleman did not look 71!

I heard about it last night, and this morning, he's got a job offer from the Cleveland Cavaliers (which comes with a home).

I was surprised to note that this guy is local to us here in Columbus. Hope everything pans out for him!

I do wonder if this will lead to any similar stories with the Dispatch - there are homeless ppl with signs off of every 71 exit in town at some point in the day.

Not local to Columbus; he's from New York originally.

:) And he'll also be doing voice-overs for MSNBC's Lean Forward promotions.

I heard him on the CBS Evening News last night. Really does have a great voice but (as my husband and I have said about someone else, a local talent), he's got a 'radio face'. Fortunately radio and voice-overs don't require a handsome face:)

Of course he didn't get a chance in voice-over, because he doesn't have the money to afford his own fucking HOME BASED STUDIO thereby negating the need for an AGENCY who have now become saturated LAZY-ASS FAT FUCKS who can't be BOTHERED to represent VOICE-TALENTS!!!!!!!

Not that I'm bitter or anything.
