I've had a lovely time this weekend. Many thanks to the con staff, especially Butch and Amy (and her con suite staff); Janny, for being an indispensable help and just generally great company; Elektra and Naomi di Plume and Sandy; Boogie Knights and Poisoned Dwarf and Danny Birt, for making with the good music; Artist GOH Ursula Vernon and her husband Kevin, two great people I didn't spend enough time with; Rob, of course; and a lot of great fans for whom I sang. Oh, and, thanks to Sal's for an exquisite pizza, and Red Hot & Blue for two spots of fine barbecue.

Now, two problems: [1] I have to drive home and [2] I seem to have acquired a cold. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Huh. I'm quite sure Kevin introduced himself to me as her husband (chance hallway meeting). Whatever. Obviously they're together and happy. :)

Busy with work. Tomorrow I have to orient the person interviewed as my peer yet hired to be my boss, have a conference call with the vendor's VP of Support (to yell a lot at him and his team), and then get to have my teeth and gums poked at with sharp pointy things, then if it's not blizzarding I have to go shopping for food. Tuesday I have an early meeting with a colleague to detail our plan for revamping the entire set of web load balancer rules during the February maintenance window. Wednesday I lose half the day to standing meetings. By Thursday I'll probably be over my hours for the week again.

This week looks to be quite great actually. :) I'm flying down to Missouri this Wednesday to visit with my best friend Mike for about a week and a half. I'm really looking forward to seeing him and his wife Claudia so it looks to be a great time.

BTW I hope you get well soon Tom. Hopefully it'll just be a minor thing and be gone quickly.

Well I start the new job on Tuesday. Tomorrow will be spent doing some things around the house (grocery shopping, laundry, etc). Also I'm going to do one last shift at the food bank and actually get out of bed at 6:30am for that final push to change my internal clock. To do that, I need to go to bed now so later everyone!

Thanks. It's a contract position and sounds like I'll be doing a lot of maintenance style coding, but it's a job. I hope it does work out but I'm not sure what my expectations should be.

More running to the Bronx to finish punching down network jacks for work. (Plus getting caught up on the work put on hold due to being out for 2 days last week.)

Hopefully getting caught up on a few other things that are backlogged. (Including posting about a CD I released late last month that was non-filk.)

Well...School starts on Tuesday, have to deal with rampant virus and fungal infections in the research greenhouse, I'm helping to run a class, and my advisor is off in San Diego till next week. Hmm...what else? Oh...RSO fair is on Thursday and my first club meeting for the anime club I'm in charge of is on Friday. Oh..and then the semester actually starts.

In between the usual daily chores? Umm.. butt-load of shopping today, spend the last of my Xmas cash in order to see TRON tomorrow, more shopping being delivered wednesday, armchair to rebuild sometime this week, and probably repair or clean whatever the cats have destroyed or 'marked' in between times...

Maybe Thurs or Friday I'll get to finish building my sonic swiss-army knife too. It started life as two different sonic screwdrivers, future-10th's & 11th doctors, and I'm building in more functionality. Hence sonic swiss army knife, [or sonic multi-tool.] Which is my current fun project.

Huh, maybe I ought to work on a functioning TARDIS...I could use the extra time.

A couple days at home then on the road to Confusion this weekend. And I am doing that very rare thing, a solo show. Be afraid ... cause gundo is too!
