Trying to get a whole bunch of stuff done today, as I have to, y'know, pay rent. One thing for tomorrow: I'm going to be on Odd's Mad World Radio tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. EST, probably for the whole three hours. It's a live webcast, complete with chat, so come on and hang out. If this works out, I'm definitely doing at least one or two Second Life and/or Ustream concerts this month.

Ready... set... Pimp Your Stuff!

I've launched a Kickstarter project to get my CD duplicated! We're mostly through mastering - I'm working with Mark Guenther at Seattle Disc Mastering for that - and we're going to be making MOAR COPIES soon!

If you don't know, Kickstarter is a way of group-sourcing creative projects. You make pledges for projects you support; if the target is reached, the project gets funded! If not, no money is charged from anybody, so you don't have any half-funded/underfunded projects. They make their money by taking a cut similar to a credit-card company's share.

So please click here to check out my project; there's a video explaining stuff and you can also check out my music here, including my new side project, Cracksman Betty. Which I'll probably plug next week. XD

I'm playing a show at Capricon next weekend. Solo even. That means that this time I need to go make sure I know all of the songs I want to play.

I've been there for several years, but I hardly ever log on. In fact, I haven't installed SL on this computer yet. But [livejournal.com profile] emiofbrie has been wanting to host me for awhile.

Well, I've re-edited my original novel The Dragon's Companion (https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/35669) for e-publication, so now it's available in pretty much every format available for the low price of $4.99. Or a $1.99 each if you want to buy the novellas separately.

Of course, it's Wednesdays, so you'll have to wait six days to listen to the next one. }:-{D

I would like to pimp someone else's stuff! This month I'm helping out at DreamHaven Books in Minneapolis MN, and I gotta tell you guys, this place is aMAZing!

I know my store had a great selection of books, but the range and depth Greg Ketter has put together here leaves what I had in the dust. The website (intentionally built lean and clean for the dial-up crowd) can't give you the first hint of the number of options you have. In fact, only coming by in person could do that. Greg does do a mostly monthly mail order catalog, but that also is the faint shadow cast by just a couple shelves of books.

NOW I know why I want to build a tour-bot. (Munden's Bar reference, for those not many decades old.) Somehow I don't think Greg would approve.

Pimping someone else's stuff.

Crys is trying to clean up and record a copy of "500 Orcs" to send to the good Dr, along with a copy of "How to be a superhero".

http://crysthewolf.livejournal.com/379520.html

She needs some voices to do the call-backs from the audience, and hasn't had time to do a stage recording with an audience calling back, so is needing people to record themselves saying/yelling certain lines. More details are at that link, if anyone can help.

Thanks!

(As far as me, personally, I'm getting equipment, ideas, and podsafe music...think I'm going to attempt to start a Podcast soon...just with my thoughts on life, school, the universe, with some music thrown in...am coming up with an outline/agenda, so it's not me attempting to be interesting by improv..should be fun)

Oh, recordings would need to be sent/linked to her by 5:00pm, tomorrow, 2/4/11. As she is going to attempt a clean recording tomorrow, so she can send it to him SOON.

Thanks again! :-)

Byyy the way...

I was a little hesitant to put this one out there and I HOPE it doesn't step on any toes as I know that the great Tom Smith ALSO has a parody out there of this song called "500 Hats" (which is very funny and if you haven't heard it already you should FIND IT. And then BUY it. And then buy copies for your friends!) But hopefully the concept behind this one is different enough that it won't be a problem.

If there is any concern please accept my sincerest and most humble (well, as humble as I can get them) apologies. *bows low*

Pimping the husbands latest venture... RPG reviews at The Examiner.com. He makes a fraction of a cent for every click, so not really a money making venture, but it is another opportunity to get examples of his writing out in the public eye.
