Barry's Mother Libby Passes Away

Sadness -- a loss in the family. tollers bears the news that Libby has passed away. Libby was the mother of our own min0taur, Barry Childs-Helton, and she had a lot of problems for a long time, and you will not find a more caring or loving than Barry. He's spoken of her often, and his devotion to her was palpable and inspiring. Condolences, hugs and gentle songs to him, Sally, and their family.

I feel awkward going straight to Barry's LJ, but I got to meet him at the Archon NASFiC and both he and Sally were so inspiring to me.

Don't feel awkward... hugs are always appreciated and I'm sure they'd be happy to know they had an impact on you at Archon. :-)

If you _do_ still feel awkward, at least know that I'm compiling all the virtual hugs in email and passing them along, as I know they'll see those before they have a chance to devote much time to FB and LJ.

Oh my... Barry and his wife will be at Capricon this coming weekend, or at least they were supposed to be. I wouldn't blame them for canceling now to deal with this loss. :(

It's likely that they won't be at Cap... just too much else to deal with right now. The Wild Mercy show will still go on, though, in our "Wild Mercy: Trouble Comes in Threes"* configuration... Jen, Amy and I have our contingency-plan set list worked out and ready to go. :-)

(Jen and I together are Half-Wild Mercy... we decided that Jen, Amy and I are just Trouble!)
