Below is a "heat map", showing web-based music consumption in 2010. Green means that site had positive growth in 2010 (a mouse-over will give details); red means that site had negative growth.

There's one thing this graphic doesn't show, which you can see if you click on it: YouTube devours all. It's about three times the size of all other music sites combined. And one video out of three on YouTube is music.
You don't have to hit me in the head. Not too much, anyway.
So, what should I put up there first? Or should I just go an album at a time? (The "videos", at first at least, will be an audio track of the song, with cover art and links.)

Date: 2011-02-08 11:11 pm (UTC)I found Fenton once, but you can do better as far as graphics.
I say see what's already up and out there by fans and make sure you hit all those spots officially. You have several people here who'd hit them right off the bat just because they're your official ones, and once the vid gets hits, it gets noticed by the search engines more. :)

Date: 2011-02-10 06:28 am (UTC)When I was putting together material for the Dayton concert last year, I put links to your YouTube-available material all over Facebook and the like. At least one person wound up going because they heard something they liked in a link.
