Great sadness. Actor Kenneth Mars, best known for his portrayals of Inspector Kemp in Young Frankenstein and Franz Leibkin in the original, non-musical The Producers, has passed away at the age of 75. He was in a lot more than that, and also did many voices for animation, and once you knew who he was you would never forget his voice. Rest well, sir, and thanks for all the laughs.

Funny thing is,

I remember him in "He and She" back in the late 1960's.

He was also part of the "Fernwoid Tonight" madhouse as William "W.D." "Bud" Prize. Such an amazing person.

I remember him as Mr. Crisp in Yellowbeard, which I happen to think is an underrated little comedy.

Very underrated. That was the last film of Marty Feldman, no?

That's what IMDb says, yeah. In fact, it says he died on the last day of shooting Yellowbeard, when he was supposed to do his death scene.

Young Frankenstein is one of my all-time favorite movies. It's so sad to see each of the actors pass away.

What's Up Doc.

Judge: Who are you?

KM (playing Hugh Simon): I am 'ugh.

Judge: What?

KM: I am 'ugh.

Judge: Stop saying that. (To USHER) Make him stop saying that.

A fine comic actor. He will be missed.

The very odd guest appearance on Freakazoid! stands out. The one where Freakazoid stops the shows and thanks everyone, including Mr. Mars. Not a career highlight, but one that stuck with me.

I only recognize him as Otto, the German dude ranch owner that was Frances' boss on "Malcom In the Middle."

Sad news, being the Little Mermaid fan that I am. Also, he was great in Malcolm in the Middle.
