At 12:00 p.m. EST. If they get one million downloads by March 1, then everyone who buys the game gets two extra in-game items.

(This is the kind of thing you take with a grain of salt -- at some point, most likely either 11/11/11 [the release date of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim] or Black Friday, I'm sure there will be a Signature Edition Plus or Complete Edition or somethin' which will have all the DLC released to date. At least, that's what I'm counting on, as I can't afford to pick this up right now....)

What flavor of gaming addiction currently has you in its cold, comforting digital fingers? I've been going back through a number of Popcap games -- Bejeweled 2, Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies, Talismania, Bookworm Adventures -- as well as TES3: Morrowind with some mods I've never used before, mostly making Morrowind a bleak, rain-swept landscape pierced by occasional oases of carefully-shuttered windows, forbidding doorways and a people beaten down by evil. Good thing someone's there to discover their personal destiny and take down the horrific Dagoth Ur. And the first Dragon Age: Origins only waits for me to set aside a week to burn through it, possibly the second week of April.

ETA: As I figured. The servers are getting pounded. Ah well, I'll pick up the demo in the next few hours, or days.

I'm all over DragonAge - just finished playing through Origins/Awakening and have already pre-ordered DA2. Astonishingly captivating.

While I wait (and yes, I've got the demo download on my calendar), I'm futzing around in TitanQuest, the current multiplayer game-of-choice for long-distance date nights with my sweetie. But we've played through it so many times I've practically got it memorized...

I'm waiting for Ultimate Edition too, but I wouldn't remotely expect it by this November. I wouldn't expect all of the actual game-expanding DLC to even be done releasing by then, especially if they considered Awakening a success and do that model again. Summer '12, at the earliest.

Well, you actually can get a DA:O Ultimate Edition (http://dragonage.bioware.com/dao/game/order-ultimate/) right now, with Awakenting and all the DLC. That's only a bit over a year from initial release.. Here's the order page (http://eastore.ea.com/store/ea/search/?keywords=daoultimate&resid=TSZpHQoBAlcAAGYoQeoAAABH&rests=1298392829517) from the EA store -- it's an incredible deal, only $36.99 for the PC edition.

I know; I got it a bit less than that Black Friday. Okay, so late Spring for a complete DAII, then. And even then, it might not have all of the random weapons and gear DLC that they're sprinkling about. Which really breaks immersion anyhow. "You start out as a dirt-poor peasant, oh, but you just happen to be carrying around this armor that's worth more than your entire extended family that you've never thought about selling or had anyone take from you..."

For big games I'm still enjoying World of Warcraft because I'm playing it with friends from all over. Though we're all getting tired of traditional fantasy and would like some science fiction.

For small games I'm hooked on Battleheart (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/battleheart/id394057299?mt=8) It's a nice simple RPG with quick battles that make excellent use of the touch screen instead of the usual controllers.

My favorite thing right now is retro-platformer Midnight Mansion.

It's for lovers of Montezuma's Revenge, Ultimate Wizard and the like. It's old fashioned, but still kinda modern. It's only available for the Mac at the moment, but they say that a port of MM2 will be available for the PC at some point.

There are very playable demos available for both games. If you like that sort of thing I highly recommend it. If you register you can play any of the dozens of fan-made levels as well (I have 140 or so). MM2 doesn't have a lot of extra levels yet, but they will.

Each game has something like 18 levels on it, the same mansions at differing levels of skill. The hard levels kick my butt regularly.

I tell ya. At some point I'm going to unearth my old PlayStation (pre-PlayStation One!) andd see if I can track down my disks for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Spyro the Dragon, and Silent Hill.

I have the new Virtual Villagers game going, but there's a couple glitches that are driving me crazy now that I've solved all of the puzzles.

And I'm replaying Insaniquarium. (After teaching my son how to play. I decided I need it on this computer. My old computer had a great tank. Now I'm stuck on a level that I'm sure I could have beaten without thinking about it before.)

Been doin' Oblivion stuff in anticipation of Skyrim - just finished up Dark Brotherhood and plan to start Thieves' Guild with my current character. After that, I think I might finally try playing around with mods. There's a zombie apocalypse one called 28 Days Later and A Bit that has a lot of neato scenarios.

Thieves' Guild is probably the most satisfying questline story-wise. I wish I could do Dark Brotherhood just to see it but I don't have the nerve to kill off all those pretend computer people.

The Dark Brotherhood quests made me cry. Really. They were one of the few guilds that didn't treat you like dirt at first. "Welcome, dark brother, if there is anything you need, I would be happy to help you." Awwwwww. After being treated by the other guilds as something they stepped in, it was a refreshing change. And then..... waaaaaaahhh!!

Yeah, having to do the Purification was depressing, as was another bit later on. (Trying to be obtuse in case someone viewing doesn't want spoilers...) Though, I thought the Thieves' Guild was fairly nice in comparison to the Fighters' and Mages'.

I do hope there's a chapter in Skyrim you can join.

I've got stalled runthroughs of Morrowind, Oblivion, KOTOR II *and* Vampire: Bloodlines, all technically in progress. Dunno when I'll be getting back to them, and much to my dismay, I just don't think I'll be picking up Skyrim. Too effing busy to subject myself to that kind of optimization crack. Maybe a couple years down the road when the Really This Is The Final Edition We Promise comes out. And even then only if there's good werewolf stuff in it.

Um... After a recent computer crash I dug out my old copy of Alpha Centauri. And it is still astonishingly fun. Although I love Neverwinter Nights 2 and Starcraft 2 which were my other recent gaming addictions, they have NOTHING on AC for replayability.

For me it would be World of Warcraft. Quite a few of my friends play and I find it to be a good way to stay in contact with friends that are out of state.

I think it's a case of you can download the demo and if they get to the 1 million--which looks entirely likely--then they'll have a thing up for getting the codes so you can hold onto them until you get the game. I doubt it'd be a case of "This is a limited time offer on when you have to download them".

As for what gaming has me in its grip, it'd be currently either the newest version of You Don't Know Jack, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, or Dungeon Raid on my iPhone.
