Since I'm a casual reader of Archie (my grandparents got me a few when I was eight, I glance through them at the checkout line if they're there), how much of the major shocking! events! of the trailer were canon? (I'm thinking of things like the football player's drug use, someone bringing a gun to a party, Betty's abortion, [character] death, Jughead being some flavor of gay or bi, etc.)

In my misspent youth, one of the softcore porn films I saw was an imitation of Archie, with characters named "Arnie" and "Mughead" trying to get two girls who made pocket change by doing porn movies on the side. Really badly done movie. This one was far better, thanks to the inclusion of violence, revenge and contempt for one another.
