Farewell, Mike Glicksohn

Great sadness, as we have lost a member of the family. Mike Glicksohn, Hugo-award-winning fanzine editor and Canadian megafan, has passed away at the age of 65. The best way to get a feel for how well loved Mike was is to peruse a Google search of his name.

I have a Mike-shaped hole in my heart that feels as if it will never heal. Mike was a beloved friend, and I have so many friends that I met through him.

Howard mentioned this in an email. I haven't seen Mike in ages. I think Wayne and I may be going to his funeral, or at least a visitation.

Glick was a stalwart pillar of Toronto Fandom when I was a neo. It seems as if he should have just been there, occupying his place in the universe, forever ....
