At Dragon*Con

Already meeting a lot of nice people. The registration set-up is beyond insane, though. They wanted us to schlep from the Hyatt to the Sheraton by way of the Marriott to get our badges. Fortunately, Robby Hilliard is the all-purpose utility infielder for the weekend, and he's already been great.

There are also restrictions on costumes and photography in the lobbies of the hotels between 8:00 and 12:00 p.m. But there are also dedicated rooms. The result is that You Can Actually Get Through The Hyatt Lobby Most Of The Time.

More later. My first concert is tonight at 8:30.

That makes me wish I had actually scrapped together the money to go this year. Oh well, Dragon*Con should probably be an every-other-year convention for me.

Tom, be sure to look up a writer named Diana Peterfreund (dpeterfreund). She's sharing a booth in the exhibit hall with some other writers, and she is promoting her just-released novel, Rampant. (I definitely recommend the book.)

Hey Tom, you were great last night. I was the guy that shouted out "5 Years" when we were talking about how late you could go on playing. I did truthfully want to hear "5 Years" but I thought that would be the perfect time to request it.

I just started watching Babylon 5 for the first time this year. I tried to cram them all in before hand but I only made it half-way through Season 3. I'm looking forward to understanding about 50% of the song this year and that's why I want to hear it. In fact, the last episode of Babylon 5 we watched allowed me to get the part of "Spoiler Alert" that reference to the Vorlons.
