Tornadoes from Texas to Illinois. If you're in front of this squeegee of death, HUNKER DOWN. And check in when you can, so we know you're safe.

Worst of the storm passed over me an hour ago. It wasn't too bad, mostly wind.

Checking in from Indianapolis at the moment...storms coming, and the tornado sirens just went off. Will update more later...I was tired, due to school stuff, and now find I'm wide awake again.

Chambana is okay...we went to the basement of the library for a little while, but nothing happened. It pisses me off that I can't hear sirens inside....

Northeast Arkansas - worst of it is over I believe. Just lots of rain, thunder, and wind now, and some power flickers.

Southern Ohio: Whoo-ee! We live! But I'll bet we're minus a few dozen shingles. Rain looked like invisible giants splashing each other with buckets in a wading pool.

I'm in SW Ontario and we just got pelted with hail the size of green peas and a hell of a lot of lightning, thunder, and rain. My street was quite flooded. Fortunately, the power stayed on, and we didn't get any snownadoes.

Woke up at about a quarter to 3am to hear tornado sirens. I'm just lucky it was warm enough I left the bedroom window open or I might not have heard them at all...

Did the basement stair stepping exercise plan last night. All okay here. My kids believe there is a direct line between any tornado and our house, though. It took a long time to get back to sleep.

Sirens went off here in S. Indiana at 12:02am; about 30min worth of storms, including 45sec worth of winds that had our flagpole leaning at a scary angle. Outside of that, we ducked the worst of it. A few trees down and signs blown over, but we never lost power and no injuries reported.

It was pretty much a non-event in Dallas. I'm more worried about the fires.

Some downed tree limbs, large puddles of rainwater. The lightning was spectacular, and the thunderclaps rattled the house. We're all safe and dry.

There was a tree surgeon in front of my building this morning. I couldn't tell if they were going to take care of existing damage or new damage (if any) from last night. That was pretty much the worst of it.

Glad everyone is OK.

Haven't heard of anything threatening me yet (D/FW). But checking in anyway.

The storm apparently got scared of itself and tried to hide in my basement. I'm still coaxing it out with vacuums, dehumidifers, and fans...but thankfully nothing was damaged.

Checking in from Southern Illinois. Fine here...some downed trees at my University, some power outage, some damage to fields I'm doing research in this summer (ahh! though at least they aren't planted yet).

seems to be an awful lot of these lately! I had all the southern/east coast folks check in after last weekend's blast.

Without power and phone for two days.

I and the property are okay, though.

We ran thru tornado weather booth ways to and from Anime Boston, but the worst we actually saw was some really nasty rain and wind with a bit of hail.
