Peter Jurasik hugged me.

So did Lois Bujold.

Peter David remembered me fifteen years after I'd met him.

William Shatner complimented me as he walked by.

Don Maitz thanked me for the pirate songs I've written.

Lots of people said my fifteen minutes at the Awards Banquet were the highlight of the evening.

Even the waitstaff enjoyed it, and told me so.

And, in the middle of my later concert (which was disjointed 'cause I was on an adrenalin high but still way fun), [profile] devospice informed us that The FuMP had just won the PARSEC award for Best Speculative Fiction Music podcast.

Reeeeeeeeeal good night.

Remember, you can hug Lois back in less than two weeks.
She's the GoH at FenCon VI in Dallas.

Hey Tom, if you happen to run into Peter Jurasik again before the con ends, can you give him a copy of "Target: Audience"? I'd love for him to hear "Just Mister Londo" and "No Sleep Till Babylon".

Congrats to the FuMP too, for winning an award I haven't heard of but sounds neat.

1) I thought Peter Jurasic was dead. Glad you got to meet him before that happens.

2) Glad you got to perform at the banquet. I remember when another funny music artist was cheated out of that honor, although I won't dredge over that sad experience again.

3) In all honesty, I've attended a few of these banquets, and aside from a Harlan Ellison assault on a hired MC who foolishly tried to mock him, they've been dull. Especially considering the high level of talent assembled for the banquets. Maybe you showed them how to do it right.

4) Am I correct in assuming that the meal was that same politically-correct cheese ravioli and mild tomato sauce as in previous years?

1) I believe you're thinking of Andreas Katsulas, or Richard Biggs.
