Hey, kids! Did you know that teaching evolution leads to "homosexual indoctrination"?

Oh, to heck with it. Instead of even attempting to work through this one, I'll share with you a pun which will otherwise have far, far too small an audience. See, Media Matters For America noted Sean Hannity's attempt to gin up a supposed "War On Easter". I'm sure you all noticed that one this week. Anyway, the comment thread for the MMFA story contained this:

Can anyone say "dead horse"?

All neigh-saying aside, that's really good.

Normally I'd squelch this, but I still have a day and a half of yeastlessness (I admit, I've been cheating, but it still drives me crazy), so I'm chalking this up to yeast deficiency...

Hannity's also complaining how the media is protraying the GOP as evil, racist, and stupid.

I'm looking forward to visiting the grocery store after work tonight for that cheap candy too. But I think most of it will be gone by then. Still, have to try.

Hannity is also trying to gin up a controversy by asking if President Obama knew or ever had dinner with Louis Farakhan.

I think Hannity is trying to fill the void left by Beck. It's his way of saying, "Look at me! I can make up loony shit too!"

I loved the remark about how "in a purely evolutionary world, homosexuals would be bred out of existence".

Doesn't that mean the Xtians should be ENCOURAGING THE FUCK OUT OF THIS TEACHING????

Similarly, shouldn't they be ALL ABOUT GAYS IN THE MILITARY? Come on, "Operation: Human Shield" anyone? ;)

According to a friend of mine, today is the Second Feast of St. Mark Downs.

...his other feasts are Feb 15, Nov. 1, and Dec. 26. Naturally.

Youda loved it at my sister's house yesterday. In addition to the usual cast of family members and friends, she invited the housekeeper & her family. Dearest BIL (sarcasm there) invited her to say grace. She then commenced a prayer that lasted for a good five minutes, all the while increasing her volume and drama.

All of this in Spanish.

My sister, niece & I were trembling from trying to control our laughter. My other sister, the hostess, was giving us dirty looks. My son was squeezing my hand - hard. Next year I won't come until after the buffet line opens.

I'm moving this week and too damn broke for 1/2 price candy.

Hee hee! That's excellent. My own family brunch prayer involved two false finishes, like hair-bands used to do. Atheist in a house full of Catholics -- fun. :D Good luck on the move, dahlink.

In my experience[1], while even the world's best distance runner must stop eventually, a talented pray-er is like a set of bagpipes, or a Fourdrinier machine at a paper mill: they need never halt.

[2] To reach the Nazarenes, take a left as you pass Baptists and keep your eyes peeled for the neckties.

This was an actual post in response to a friend's annoyance that she had to work yesterday, even though the day after tgiving is considered a holiday at her job.
All spelling/grammar left as found.

"you can thank all the NON christens for that one! they are to afraid of getting sued."

I think the "war on easter" is being perpetrated by all the people yelling about the pinko commie liberals they think are trying to take away their fertility bunnies.

Actually I missed the "war on Easter"; I was too busy celebrating it! (Alas, our church didn't have a Good Friday service this year, but I found a nearby congregation that did, and it was a good one.)

Dear Hannity - grow UP already...

I'm always amused by hearing people complain that someone is exposing children to indoctrination that ISN'T THEIRS.
