Agreed. I'm always amazed at the beauty of the natural world and all the wonders it contains.

Who knew how many microscopic shells and other hard parts from living things were in sand grains!

When I was a kid my friend Angie got a seriously big microscope and we discovered artistic sand which was way cool. Then her family went on vacation to the west coast while my family went to Yellowstone and when we came back with sand sample we discovered it was all different! And even cooler! For many years after whenever a friend or relative traveled someplace we asked them to bring back sand. Maybe if we had pictures like these we wouldn't have gotten such odd looks.
