I have to say, I disagree with Keith.

Bear in mind it was NOT Tea Party protests that moved the GOP to the right; it was Tea Party VOTES, primarying establishment candidates and threatening their re-election (or displacing them outright).

Protests will do no good at all unless those protesting organize voters to turn away from incumbent Democrats- and, considering the iron control the Democratic Party has over the nomination system, and the party rules that require candidates to endorse and support everyone who wins the Democratic nomination, I don't see that happening.

I think Keith hits the nail on the head quite effectively here. If we want to get anything done then we have to get out the vote and defeat people who have no desire to govern.

I've never understood why so many people who hate government run for office when they have no intention of actually doing the job they were elected to do.

I've been watching him for years and this is, without a doubt, the most enraged I've ever seen him. Even more so than some of his comments about Shrub and Co and those were some hot ones.
