Around the time that Gil and Tarvek work through their personal history, yeah, really, there's no way that's not an OT3. I'm sure the castle will have lots of practical advice on the mechanics.
(Although I personally think it would be hilarious if once all the various crises are settled enough for Agatha to think about such things as love and whatnot, her reaction to it is "...I'm not convinced I want a boyfriend let alone the possibility of two, dear god, my life is complicated enough," and Gil and Tarvek are like "...But one of us, right? Not anyone else?" and, you know, also "...and meanwhile while you make up your mind, do you mind if, um, we... ?" And Agatha boggles at how this is even her life. And the castle offers suggestions.)
It delights me that I'm quite sure the Foglios know what they're doing. It's so rare to be able to trust that the creators have noticed that they've created a love triangle that's less triangle and more triad, but with the Foglios, one actually does! *g*
It is with no hint of snark that I say, I suspect that Phil's years of doing XXXenophile have something to do with it. I still think he should dump that entire thing into a hardcover omnibus for $75 or $100. I'd snap it right up.
In fanfic speak, OTP is One True Pairing -- for instance, in Harry Potter fic, my one true romantic pairing is Harry/Hermione.
OT3 is when your OTP is a triad relationship. In this case, Agatha, Gil, and Tarvek. Other popular ones include Harry/Hermione/Ron, almost anybody else/Weasley Twins, Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman, and pretty much any three characters from Stargate SG-1.
they hinted at this during one of the earlier vacation sections that was basically plot insert. I believe the one that has the cast on stage doing one of the old Hederodine stories, and one person says, "Who's idea was it to have two boyfriends?"
I like Tarvek the more his character is explored. He is willing to die for Agatha and her happiness is more important to him than his own. IMO this is the truest love evar.
