For those who would like to see the short film The Consultant, starring S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson, but who don't want to buy Thor on Blu-Ray, here you go. Ignore their b.s. about downloading and the Veoh player. The download thing doesn't work, and the Player tries to install a lot of bloatware. Nowhere near worth it for a four-minute vid.

Thanks! Wouldn't play at all on my Windows XP system (either under Chrome or IE) but played fine on my Windows 7 system.

Some of my favorite comic characters got their start in TV and film, so I'm hoping that there isn't some contractual/rights reason why Coulson hasn't appeared in the 616 yet.

TIL Bullock wasn't native to DCU. +1 Geek.

...so I don't get +1 Geek?

Damnit, I'm trying to grind levels here!

(Should we count Barbara Gordon as "native" or "immigrant"? I know she technically was in the comics first, but she was put there for the TV show.)

You get the +1 Geek, for opening up the floor for questions. (I'm a generous GM.) Babs was created for both the TV show and the comics, so hey. And, bluntly, she's one of the best characters ever, and subject of a lot of cogent analysis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Gordon) on the issues of feminism and disability.

Damn. Now I've gotta go read The Killing Joke again....

You gotta love The Killing Joke, but other than that one famous panel, I never really think of it as a Barbara Gordon story.

For my Babs-fix, it's hard to do better than Gail Simone's run on Birds of Prey. Plus, you also get the awesome Dinah and awesome-in-small-doses Helena as a bonus!
