The past month and a half I've had an interesting trend: I've exhausted the heck out of myself, and not made that much money, but the sheer fun of it all has been amazing. GenCon, ConText, Dragon*Con, and now FenCon -- lotsa work, not as much cash as I expected, but such good times.

Many, many thanks to the whole FenCon crew, especially Russ and Tim who are consistently above and beyond the call. And many more hugs to [profile] singingpatient, Joe Giacoio, [personal profile] bedlamhouse, [profile] ladyat, [personal profile] billroper (I didn't even see [profile] daisy_knotwise or the girls), [personal profile] filkferengi, [profile] lukeski, Kerry Gilley, etc., etc., etc. I'm definitely going back next year (which is good because I may not make the Raleigh, NC NASFiC they're running, as GenCon Indy moved its dates back a week, drat them).

How was your weekend?

How was your weekend?

Ups: Got my work done in advance. Rosh Hashana dinner Friday with the family, Saturday with family friends. Sunday, Evangelion 1.0 at the Village East Cinema with friends from online and off.

Downs: Long, rambling sermon from the rabbi at shul Saturday morning. Still no job. Job hunt driving me crazy. Very busy week now.

Got drunk, went bowling, ate cookies.

Twas a birthday party, what can I say? :-)

Also made significant headway on a problem that's been dogging me since D*Con...hopefully it will be DONE with in less than two weeks. And good riddance!

We had a good time. My sales tied for best FenCon ever, and Russ had decent totals too. Sorry we didn't have more chance to chat, but I was pretty well stuck in the dealer room most of the time. Did you see Russ (mine, that is) on Saturday night?

I've got some pics up here, and I'm working on my con report.

Excellent. Yeah, chatting time was kinda at a premium. Didn't see Russ that I recall, but Mr. Brain is guacamole.

Not bad, I guess. Saturday lunch at one aunt's; Sunday lunch at the other's; both are in the Franklin/Bloomfield Hills areas, more or less. In between them, carting a "spare to him, free to me" TV from my brother's place to mine with vehicle swaps (transport in Mom's Jeep, she drove his Whatever, and my Mustang sat at her place), and having him as houseguest Saturday night.

I believe much the same as yours, lad.
FenCon was such a nice little vacation at the end of a rather purgatorial ("less than hellish") week.
(AND we all got to hear YOU.) Thanks for coming, and singing. October Country is looking forward to seeing you in January @ Conflikt, so take care of y'self.

How was my weekend? Got to spend it at Anime Weekend Atlanta with lots of my friends. But then Sunday found out my husband's cousin's 18 month old girl died. That was a serious downer.

I miss coming to Millennicon with Celeste. :C Cincinnati is too far for me now.

It was great seeing you at FenCon. Definitely looking forward to seeing you back next year.

Given that Spider & Jeanne Robinson are next year's GoHs, I hope serendipity presents us with a chance to see both you and Spider up on stage singing together.

It was super seeing [& hearing!] you at Fencon, Tom. You gave us two fun hours; turnabout is fair play. Just in case you missed them:
