Wow, I really wish I wasn't at work so I could listen to this right now.

My fave Halloween shorts are Vincent by Tim Burton, The Raven as read by James Earl Jones on the Simpsons, and The Cat with Hands.

The one I use in class is Christopher Walken reading "The Raven".

You could have used Christopher Walken reading "Winnie the Pooh" and it would still scare the crap out of the kids.

UPA did some great, great work in the mid-1950s. AFAIC, any serious student of animation should give their stuff a lot of eyeball- and mindspace.

Mine wouldn't be a video - it'd be audio only: Orson Welles and the Mercury Theater of the Air's "War of the Worlds."

Dude. Anything from the Alan Parsons Project album/CD "Tales Of Mystery And Imagination". (II prefer the 1987 reissue.) All the songs were inspired by the works of Poe.
