I felt a lot better this morning. Steady flow of ibuprofen, bed rest, careful movements. I was still kinda sore, but nowhere near debilitatingly so, even with an occasional wrong move. Sat at my desk for a few hours, no real pain. Took a shower, lived through it. Got on my clothes, all good. Let's go out.

One foot onto the porch, with a slight drop from the stoop, and it all came roaring back.

And now I am going to go lie down.

Doctor tomorrow.

Sounds like the doctor is a good idea.

I think Tom said he has an appointment for tomorrow. Probably easier to go to that than to try and rearrange it now....

Yikes. I have some remote clue what you're going through, & I'm sorry.

Do either cold or heat help at all? Don't bother replying, but it might be useful info for your doctor.

BTW, if just getting down the stairs is that painful, is there anyone who could drive you? Pain that bad & trying to drive don't mix well.

Thinking comforting thoughts in your direction...

My advice (based on my experience) ask your doctor if a chiropractor can help you. Also ask if that's covered in any way by insurance. If the answers are both no, go see a chiropractor anyhow - the one I went to saved my life.

As an atheist, I won't be praying for you, but as someone who likes and respects you, I will pretend to pray if you want - for an atheist there is no difference after all - and I will continue to hope for it to be something simple and easily remedied. Like an electrolyte imbalance from the side effects of the Clindamycin.

If I could share my own body's tendency to ignore the effects/side-effects of drugs, I would in a heartbeat. (Well, if I could *selectively* share I would - the last thing you need right now is for ibuprofen to suddenly be no more effective as a pain reliever than acetaminophen, sugar pills, or other placebos!)

Be sure to mention what antibiotics to whatever doctor you're seeing. Some have possibilities of creating a great deal of joint or muscle pain. While many people may not react that way; you may be one of the few that does.
