Windy, and TomBoat II

Lots of things happening this weekend; the one I'll be at is WindyCon in Lombard, IL. Tonight at 9:00 p.m., I'm backed up by Gundo, Eric, Mike, Jason, and Raven -- not to mention the exquisite Amy and the luscious Lizzie -- in TomBoat II: This Time It's Gonna Be Recorded Properly. Be there or be somewhere less fun.

Among other luminaries yodelling at the Windy crowd this weekend: The Great Luke Ski, Frank Hayes, the Feng Shui Ninjas, Possible Oscar, Robin Nakkula, author GOH Catherine Asaro, and who knows who else.

Windy is always a tremendously good time, and if you can be there, it'll just be that much better.

My daughter and I will be at Windy late evening(ish). Hopefully before Heather & Ben. My son is already there as he's part of Dave's tech crew.

Been a pretty cruddy week, looking forward to music and huggs and family.

Wish I could make it. A quiet weekend is in the cards for me; I want to beat Bastion New Game Plus, I know that (and probably complete all three Who Knows Where with full idols), and I have some TV to catch up on, but otherwise, cleared decks for sleep and relax.

I have an all day rehearsal-workshop with Kansas City Women's Chorus and then an evening (unfortunately free) gig for a Roast/Benefit for the Kansas City Rogue's Gallery (the elephant in the room being that one of them is dying of cancer in the brain.) Will be a bittersweet evening and difficult because my ex (about whom Eric can tell you if he chooses) will be there as well.

I'll mostly be glad when it's over...

Work a bit more than a half day today (until I'm maxed out on hours). Shop tomorrow for a party Sunday. Party out (for a friend's September wedding) Sunday afternoon then have the partiers over for munchies and dinner Sunday evening.

This weekend is landing up to be all about what I'm not doing: I'm not at WindyCon (much too far) or OryCon (no way to fund it), I'm not over in Seattle prepping shipments for Studio Foglio (Post Office closed today), I'm not crouched over a hot keyboard assembling data for R4D (finished the last of it yesterday), and I'm not outside pulling weeds or otherwise trying to reclaim my poor, disheveled garden (both cold and wet outside).

I hope to enjoy WindyCon vicariously, so be encouraged to post early and often!

This is the last scheduled quiet weekend for the rest of the calendar year; cleanup from the furniture move last weekend; got a little extra money at work, so I'm blowing that on a new shower curtain, new underwear, new socks, and ink for my printer (do I know how to splurge or what??); am being willingly drafted (sorta) into a massive Goodwill run for my mom.
