I have had many hugs. Dammit, I needed 'em.

My hip is behaving so far, only a few twinges.

Heather Dale and Ben sounded great.

The TomBoat concert started late, then later because of technical issues. The crowd seemed to love it. I only heard the flaws. But Dave has the board audio for us, and we'll have it later this weekend, and we'll see what we will see.

I am too jacked up to sleep right now. So I will sleep when I do.

I have the Masquerade Halftime Show tomorrow night -- 8:30-ish. And the FuMP concert on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Apart from that, I plan to just hang out and be silly.

Things okay on your side...?

Glad to hear that Heather and Ben sounded great. (I get to see them on Tuesday at a house concert in NJ.)

More importantly, you got the Tomboat concert recorded, again and I hope it came out great this time.

Great to see you! I kept getting called out to do stuff so I missed a bunch of Tomboat. Glad that I didn't miss Dervish - that one is better every time I hear it and it absolutely ROCKED tonight!

Things are good here... missing Ory, but making arrangements to catch up on a hug I will miss... missing Ory because going to England for Christmas (*bounce*)... will have dinner with [livejournal.com profile] kat_merle tonight, and [livejournal.com profile] cflute and [livejournal.com profile] pocketnaomi tomorrow... and other things going on I can't talk about here, but which are still pretty cool... life is good.

Definitely not. Our dear friend John passed away yesterday.

Great to see you! My contract ended yesterday and since it was after 3 when everything was finally done, boss said I could count it as a full day. I hate saying good-bye to people. It was a good job for a while (except when I got contradicting requests for changes). When a job ends, I get introspective and start wondering what's next and who I am as a person. With the other stresses in my life, it left me unsure and self-conscious. I was only seeing the flaws in myself. I think you have to do that occasionally, not only to ground you to the fact you're not perfect but to help you see the good things about yourself too.

But really, the concert was great. It really lifted my spirits and I had a fun time. I know everyone did their best and it was worth the wait. I spent the time figuring out the nature of existence. (It's the set of all possibilities, each one next to and related to all the others, flowing together in a way that defies conventional interpretations of space and time. Our free will guides what these possibilities are/will be so it's our purpose to do what we can to make it the best for all.)

I'm headed back to the con in a few. Ran out of cat food and the furballs don't quite understand that I can still be in bed after 7am.

Greetings from oryCon, the *other* con of the weekend.

we're having a nice time, too. Vixy, Tony, the Doubleclicks, the Tinneys, Steve Dixon, Cecilia Eng, Steve Savitzky and many other singers say hi.

And please take good care of Frank Hayes for us while he's with you. :-)

We made Frank stand at the back of the room for the Tomboat concert so there were no lyrical mishaps.

Good to hear you are doing reasonably well! Hugs from afar.
This just occurred to me, is last year's Tomboat final download coming soon? Or did I completely miss it?

Nope. What happened was, the board audio was... less than adequate. Yes, that's a nice way to state things. Less than adequate. I theoretically could have made it useable, given enough time and a very expensive hunk of software. Toyboat wanted to do this again this year, and I said Oh The Heck Yeah.

If I ever do get the original board audio fixed, great. Unfortunately, unless and until that happens, my Zoom recording is pretty much it. But now this much better audio (he said, crossing his fingers, not having listened to it yet) will take its place, and we've even got outtakes and special stuff!
