Interesting. I have really enjoyed Nolan's interp of Batman, with only a few nitpicks, so I'm hopeful here. Hanz Zimmer can do very little even close to not great, so I'm not worried there. Bane, on the other hand, has always felt like a gimmick villain to me; it's only been recently that I was able to deal with him at all.

And, Anne Hathaway in a catsuit? Thank you, God.

I guess we'll see this summer.

Am I the only one who was expecting Bane to take a drink from a coke bottle in that one shot?

I actually got a few goosebumps...I'm hopeful. I trust Nolan, so I'm looking forward to this.

Looks really good, and I like the take they're taking with the advertising. But one nit.

I would think that explosions opening man-eating holes on the field one prompt some sort of play-ending reaction from the officials. Or the crowd would start screaming in horror, or players would be yelling "WTF, the field is blowing up!" I just can't see that wide receiver going all the way to the end zone then noticing that everything has collapsed into a giant hole. I wonder if they would call Bane for Hole-ding on the play?

On that note, it would appear the Gotham Stadium has, in the words of the immortal John Madden, "good bowels."

Had the same reaction. Can he not hear or feel anything?

I'm looking forward to it. I don't know much about Bane though. In the first set of movies, he's a criminal pumped full of Poison Ivy's chemicals. I think in the cartoon he was something similar. This looks like a fresh twist on it.

I don't like how the second movie ended though, how Batman took the fall for Dent's actions. People have survived having their heroes fall from grace before and at least Dent had the "excuse" of being deformed and driven insane. Besides, it's hard to keep a lie going. The cold hard truth should always be better than a comforting lie.

Short version: Raised in a prison in a country where "sins of the fathers" is a thing, escaped (but maintained serious issues involving a teddy bear), became a master chemist and strategist, set Arkham's inmates loose to tire out The Bat, then used his super-steroids ("Venom") to beat the ever-loving crap out of him forcing him to find a replacement while he healed. The storylien was called Knightfall.

The evil of the original movie version was that they turned the guy who broke The Batman's back into a mindless thug, rather than a genius who could do his own dirty work.

I am going to watch the hell out of this movie...

...and I'm probably going to pony up the extra $$ to see it at the IMAX...

Anne Hathaway was my favorite part of the trailer, and I mostly don't mean the physical aspect. She showed a confidence, and a level of charisma and sensuality, that made me think she could be a believable Catwoman.

I've never cared much for Bane in any interpretation to date. We'll see if that changes.
