Condolences to "Weird Al" Yankovic

Terrible tragedy this weekend: The parents of comedy music star "Weird Al" Yankovic were found dead in their home, apparently of carbon monoxide poisoning.

I'm reasonably sure I speak for the entire TSO community in extending our condolences and emotional support to Al at this terrible loss.

I sent a note to Steve's Yank Blog about how anyone who ever listened to Weird Al's work must know that his parents had to have been a great inspiriation to him. May happy memories lighten the grief. And eat something, you too skinny.

This was just a shame. I'm just glad they apparently lived good, full lives, were proud of Al, and were also extremely well liked by their neighbors. This last was according to one of the neighbors, so I tend to lend it some credibility.

Thank you for posting the address. I don't use the U.S. Snail much these days, but this merits an exception.

Al, you're probably not gonna read this, but I know what it's like to lose a parent. I can't even fathom what it's like to lose both at once.

And it's always too soon.
