Thank you. This really resonated with me and I'm a little overwhelmed after reading it. I agree with most of what he says here. While I am a liberal and have regularly sided with Democrats I too have never registered any party affiliation. I like to keep my options open (on paper anyway) and look at what the person stands for. I have respect for those who think differently than I do but this has just gotten crazy. I think it's very sad that Bush has gotten away with labeling the frightening things he has done with the "conservative" or "Republican" labels to try to justify stands he has and is taking. I see inklings that those groups don't appreciate it either and hopefully they will make it known at election time.

God, what a brilliant and compelling essay. Favorite line (of many): "This is a referendum on George W. Bush, arguably the worst thing that has happened to the United States of America since the invention of the cathode ray tube."

However, I'll just ignore the fact that I was reading this essay on a cathode ray tube. :)

Wowsers. This one's worth passing on to other folks.

Even though the facts are things we already knew, the *way* he says it is so powerful. The line "Thanks to some contested ballots in a state governed by the president's brother, a once-proud country has been delivered into the hands of liars, thugs, bullies, fanatics and thieves," brought tears to my eyes. This is definitely one to pass on.

An amazing article

Tom,

I just wanted to thank you for sharing that article with me. Crowther did a wonderful job really breaking down the very complicated issues surrounding this presidency and explaining why it is so vital that people get out there and vote.

He really hits the nail on the head. There are so many things wrong with this man who controls our country like a mad puppeteer, that its hard to point a finger at one thing.

Thanks again, Tom
