Now here's something you don't see everyday: a trailer for a comedy starring Bill Murray that looks like it might actually be, y'know, funny.

This despite Owen Wilson.

I dunno. I kinda like Owen Wilson. Or is it Luke Wilson? ;) Kidding. Seriously, I find he has a certain laconic charm that I have always enjoyed. When directed well, he never oversells the joke, and he has a very "everyman" style of comedy, even when not directed especially well (Starsky & Hutch, f'rinstance, from what I've heard).

Then again, I could just be a mark.

Shrug. Somebody thinks he's great -- he keeps getting work. I just can't recall ever seeing him in anything where I thought he was any good, or even interesting. To me, he seemed to suck the life out of every scene in Starsky & Hutch and Shanghai Noon, and I couldn't even abide the trailer for I Spy.

But, then, I may not be his audience.

For what it's worth, though, I have the same reaction to Tea Leoni, and shudder to think they might meet, fall in love, and breed.

Heh.

Not being able to abide the trailer for "I Spy" doesn't exactly put you in the minority--I hear even that lost money. ;)

Seriously, I can understand your reaction, though I mainly get it from Jennifer Garner. Yeah, yeah, I know. She's got a great butt, and she kicks high--two things you really can't say about Owen Wilson...at least not too loudly. ;)

And Tea Leoni? She's sort of like the thinking man's Jennifer Aniston--trouble is, she's not a film-quality leading lady either.
