Time to do it again.

Air America Radio is sponsoring The Great American Shout Out, a nonviolent protest to take place moments before President Bush's speech next Thursday. Real simple: When you see Dubya appear on-screen, go to the door or window, throw it open, and yell "FUGGEDABOUDIT!"

That would be about 10:00 pm EDT, next Thursday, September 2.

Get the other con early birds to join you. At least the ones already in the bar. There, people still keep some modicum of contact with the outside world. For Example...

I am minded of a day at Dragoncon long ago, the gals were schmoozing in a hotel room and the guys were downstairs in the bar, watching the Tyson/Holyfield fight, for as long as it lasted anyway. One of the guys came up early and told us how it ended, then the rest of the guys came thundering back. "So, didja hear what happened? asked Larry.

I had to reply: "Yeah, we got some news bites." *rimshot*

Speaking of Anti-Bush messages...check this out!! I got to witness this first-hand...it happened right across the street from the General Motors building (where I was appearing on the CBS Early Show this morning to plug my Totally Obsessed appearance tonight.) Didn't get to see the miscreants and hoodlums and hooligans and ne'er-do-wells actually rapelling down the wall and putting up the banner, but got to see the cops trying desperately to take it down. Fun as hell, and a LOT of people saw it. :)
