Sorry, but I probably won't get the music that I wanted to have up at the main site today unless I can convince my cold-ridden throat otherwise. Two vocal tracks I want to finish; can't do 'em. Sigh. Hang tight.

Other than that, nonpolitical Open Thread. Talk about the Van Helsing DVD, Farscape, chocolate, anything you like. Have fun, play nice.

Farscape? Why talk about...

AAAAAAIGH! I forgot the mini series was starting!

At least I can wait until they show it all back-to-back one weekend to watch.

Lots of hot liquids, preferably with garlic. I'm chugging down home-made miso soup, chasing away a case of the sniffles meself.

Oooh, Farscape. My hope is that this is one of Sciffy Net's famous "pilot" miniseries to jump off into a new series. Worked for B.S. Galactic didn't it?

"Shooting makes me feel better!" definitely the standout quote.

Tried some of that last night -- I may try more this evening. Thai Kitchen's Roasted Garlic Soup is one of the only store-bought "roasted garlic" products that doesn't have that nasty metal undertaste, and at Trader Joe's you can get it for half the price it is anywhere else.

Hee. Wish I was more of a FarScape fan. I'm gonna have to get into it eventually.

I personally liked the line about "honeymooning in Bolivia." Not to mention Aeryn's reaction to John's comment about having supper ready. *smirk*

I frequently wonder what everyone else's "universal translators" make of Crichton's constant pop culture references. One of those sci-fi imponderables that we're not supposed to ask, I guess.

Self-references, even... did you notice he referred to some aggressors at "The Electric Mayhem"? Brian Henson's not going to sue himself, after all, being the son of Dr. Teeth and all. [smile]

Most likely, they just accepted this as part of the wonderfulness that is Crichton, and for the most part, ignored it. And yes, was definitely amused by his reference to the Electric Mayhem. *smile*
