Good morning! Well, ConClave was fun as usual. The Deep Fried Lemurs improv workshop went extremely well, and the Masquerade was held down in the Atrium, which have it a vitality it hasn't had in years. And it was Old Home Week (or, if you prefer, Old Fogie's Week) -- most everybody was going, "YOU!? I haven't seen you in...." And Liz, my dearest Evil, gave me a copy of the Avenue Q cast recording, not knowing that I had heard it but didn't yet have it! So that was great.

It was kind of a low-energy con; even though we were enjoying ourselves, everybody seemed tired. We'll have to see how OVFF works out.

(Fair Warning: some Real Life Stuff has come up which may keep me from being there, or being there the whole weekend. Further notices as the situation warrants.)

The next posting is political, so use this as an Open Thread, especially if you want to tell of Your Time At ConClave. Have fun, play nice.

I think I need to schedule a flight out there, next year. It sounds like far more fun than is likely healthy, and thus perfect.

Dunno. I do know she's the Interfilk guest at FKO, though. Just a couple months before us. She's going to be busy next spring :-)

I saw that last night. Frickin' hilarious. But they, you all know how I feel about would-be divas (http://www.tomsmithonline.com/lyrics/and_they_say.htm).

I'm okay, but, without getting into detail, immediate friends are going through troubles, and I may be needed for support.

So, whatcha gonna be for Halloween?

My costume's pretty simple

Chicago Cubs jacket + Chicago Cubs ballcap + fake slits across wrists = Suicidal Cubs fan

Snort! I'm thinking about some of our old Star Trek uniforms and vampire teeth, because "In space, the sun never rises! Bleah! Bleah!" in a silly Transywanian accent.

Ah, going for the whole "uberdork" effect, are we?

Just remember: slits should go down, not across.

Nice to see you

Nice to see you again.

We've done so little travelling outside of our town in the last three since I wasn't working. We're finally in a good position that I can look forward to getting out of town and seeing folks again. I suspect it will take me 4 to 6 out of town cons to really "get caught up".

Hope you can make it to OVFF, we've been looking forward to seeing you (since we're actually making it out there this year)! And I might be able to give you something, if all goes well...
