an articulate and thorough essay that examines Ashcroft's legacy and compares him to Louis XIV ("L'etat, c'est moi -- I am the state"), with comments on the likelihood of Gonzales's following in his footsteps.
Though it doesn't say what Gonzales's opinion is on calico cats.
