Here's my suggestion for our nickname for GWB: "Landslide George." Or maybe "3-Percent George."

Would it be alright with you if I created an RSS feed here on LiveJournal to mirror the new blog? Or would you rather keep it off LiveJournal completely?

OK, the feed has been created as tomdoespolitics. The existing entry does not show up, but as far as I know future posts will show up. (Hey Tom, creating a no-content post to test this would be a fine idea. ;-) )

1) Get the XML feed for the blog (or other feed) you want to syndicate (in this case, http://filkertom.blogspot.com/atom.xml).

2) Go to http://www.livejournal.com/syn/

3) At the bottom of the page, under "Add Feed by URL," input the URL.

4) If a feed already exists, it will tell you the feed, otherwise, it will ask you for a name for the new feed.

There you go! :-)

When I hear that phrase, it comes up two ways in my head. One in which "mandate" is a noun, the other in which it is a verb.

I hesitate to try to come up with an image of how one's... beast of burden could be mandated.
