Cordelia's going to be Uniqua from the Backyardigans. Scott and I don't plan on costumes.

I just hope we don't freeze.

I did the party thing last night...I went as a Drinking Nun. Tonight I'm holing up in the apartment, getting totally soused, and watching High School Musical and Twilight. I'll need to be drunk for that. :-)

Son (7) is going as a Zombie, but he's lighting up, because the lighting in our neighborhood sucks, and cars don't pay attention... so a light-up zombie.

Middle daughter (6) originally said she wanted to be a bat... so she's going to be a Snow Princess, of course. (Her dress is white, so we're not as worried about her costume lighting up.)

Youngest daughter (4) is going as a (light-up) "cute witch".

I'm going as an exhausted mother of three.

The zombie lights up because of that radioctive glow. *g* The little witch's glow is from her magic, obviously. And, yes, snow princesses have a sparkly glow all their own; they don't need no stinkin' lights. ;-) Happy Halloween!

Eldest is going as Captain America with a nice big duct tape shield, youngest is going as Wybie from Coraline. I was thinking of getting out the hair spray, make up and disapproving expression to go as a Republican Wife but I live in Alaska and somehow I think people would miss the joke. So I'm probably dressing as a witch which pretty much means my every day clothes with a pointy hat.

I've been trying for YEARS to talk my husband into dressing as a minotaur while I wear a sari. He just doesn't think anyone would get it.

I'll be wearing my generic (and warm - panne velvet rocks!) cool witchy chick dress and hat I made for last year along with the wand I made and a little broom to shoo them toward the wizard waiting in the corner to scare the heck out of them :D
(Translation: Going to a friend's house. They really like Halloween.)

my oldest is going as a devil (her choice) complete with vampire black cat (really! we found it at a thrift store!)
and the youngest is going as Tweety Bird.

Word of advice- when your child says "I want to be Tweety Bird" and you say "They don't sell Tweety Bird costumes" your next phrase should be "so which don't you pick something else" instead of "so I'll make you one" which is what said!

I'm going cleverly disguised as a responsible adult!

We're going to the Creepy Cheapy Chiller Drive-in Halloween party in Pontuac tonight

I'm wavering between Riverboat Gambler and Pirate. A nightclub party doesn't lend itself to a full body Muppet-ish cistume

I'm here at Youmacon, and I'll be as "Prof. Hieronomous Michaels, scientist, adventurer, and world explorer" tonight! Hopefully, my daughter will dress up as the Professor's spunky, teenaged daughter, Ophelia Lynne, again- if the overwhelming urge to cosplay as some anime character doesn't overwhelm her LOL.

At an anime con? Good luck with that LOL!

The kids are "Death" and "Susan" from Diskworld

Zombie costumes can really give bang for your buck -- they can be cheap as hell, and with just the right application of makeup/paint/fake blood, they look terrific!

I once (unintentionally) scared half my class of primary-school aged Special Ed kids (who watched me put on the makeup and costume) when I dressed up as a zombie for trick-or-treating through the school halls. Luckily, they got used to Miss-Jean-as-a-ghoul after a few minutes.

No costume here. I keep meaning to pick something, but I'll be sitting here with a cheesy horror film playing between pauses to hand out candy. Hmmm. Bubba Ho-Tep this year?

If I ever find myself in the States during Halloween, I could spray my hair silver, put some glasses on, and be George Lucas. I already look like a thirty-year-younger version of him anyway.

I could get one of the "Han Shot First" T-shirts, cross out the "Han", and write in a bunch of other names with question marks.

Jacob is going as a train conductor. The boy is mad for Thomas right now.

Since we're just taking him around the neighborhood, we'll probably drag out the garb boxes and go generic medieval.

I'm staying in. Saturday is the ened of my workweek and I'm beat.

Oldest(17) is going out with her boy, as what i have no idea.

Oldest son (14) is the Quadratic Equation, because it's the scariest thing he can think of.

Younger son (11) is a pirate-pumpkin-cowboy. He assembled this out of my battered ropers, an orange hoodie, a pirate bandana and my aussie cowboy hat. He was strongly resistant to raiding his sister's closet and borrowing daddy's wig to do drag.

Youngest (9) is Cleopatra. She and my extra child(age 18) are about the same height and are both Cleo.

My friend's party theme is 'Video killed the Radio Star' so you should dress up as something related to music video. Since we've got the 4 month old baby, I decided No Doubt's "Simple Kind of Life" would be a good costume idea for us. I'm wearing wedding dress and pink hair, husband a tuxedo jacket and top hat and baby goes as himself.

You'd think a pink wig and a top hat wouldn't be hard to find, but Noooooo. Three halloween stores it took me, I was very annoyed.

Doing nothing tonight. Halloween party was last week. I was going to go as Dr. Manhattan's winkie, as that seemed to be the most horrifying thing anyone saw this year, but instead I just got a plain silver mylar balloon and a thing of Jiffy Pop and went as Falcon Heene.

Fairy godfather. Picture someone built like you (complete with beard and body hair) in a see thru top, fishnets, bright red miniskirt and a light up tiara and wand. Wish I had a fake cigar to complete the look.
