Have to go to Target this morning anyway. I thought very seriously about getting the lithograph edition that carpdeus, below, got -- I did get Snow White, Atlantis, and Aladdin that way. But, no.
And, decaf? Ewww. I don't even like coffee. Pepsi, hi-test, please. :)
You know, I just don't care enough about the extras and specials and so on that come in those deluxe-o-fancy versions. Throw me in an actual animation cell and I'll sit up and notice; otherwise, all the little extra director commentaries and the like? It's just going to collect a superior grade of dust and take up a super-sized amount of space that the two disc plebian version could be sharing with something else. :)
You just seemed so jazzed, man. But don't worry. Pepsi, the non-neutered. I shall remember should I ever bring you a drink at a con.
Oh, I love the special features. One of the kewlest things on that Snow White disk is the feature on how they restored it. The making of Fantasia is wonderful. And I've got the Criterion Collection version of The Silence of the Lambs, with commentary by Demme, Hopkins, Foster, the screenwriter, and an FBI expert on serial killers. Amazing.
You know, I love movies but am not terribly interested in the process of making them. (shrug) All the commentary tracks do for me is block out dialogue I'd rather be hearing.
Heh, The Silence of the Lambs. Love that movie. Don't need to hear from the FBI expert on that one, though; spent enough time listening to lectures on serial homicides in college.
Having it ordered from Disney (With the bonus Lithographs) it will be delivered to my house today.
Unfortunately, I'm several hundred miles away and won't get to watch it until Saturday but then I'll be curled up with my girl which would be better than watching it alone.
I pre-ordered it as soon as Amazon.com told me it was available. That plus the British Edition of the next HP book. So should get Incredibles in a few days. Oh the wait!!!
it's actually a nice balmy 28F here today.. warmer than it's been... and for once, no St. Patrick's day snowstorm forecast for Thurs... 40F then.. weee!!!
So "The Incredibles" is as good as the reviews lead me to believe? I've not yet seen it (and me with a 5-yr-old! *GASP!*). We haven't been to a movie theater since getting kicked out of X-Men 2 on a Mother's Day weekend, which was the first time we had been to the theater since the munchkin and I were both out of the hospital. Pitiful, I know. So it's really that good?
Friday. Our usual car-required shopping day, which is almost always BJ's and Target. (Alternatively, Costco and possibly Best Buy, in the other direction.)
And What the [Bleep] Do We Know is also out.
BTW, for a good source of release listings (plus daily downloads, a good set of torrents daily, and all sorts'o'good stuff), check out Largehearted Boy on (IIRC) Mondays. He has an LJ feed at http://www.livejournal.com/users/largeheartedboy/ so is easy to keep up with.
You ain't a-kiddin', pal. Did you ever see Beyond the Mat, which featured him, Foley, and Funk? Great stuff. And the Rockers reunion was pretty sweet, too. Janetty looks great. I'm gonna have to download last night's.
And, according to the HOLT (Happened Off Live TV) report at pwtorch.com, Jake came back for some action during the post-show match, and smacked Triple H with a DDT. Suh-weet!
You can see a little of it at wwe.com. They brought him in primarily to give a rub to Randy Orton, one of the great overblown hype jobs of our time -- but they knew enough of what people wanted to see that they brought him back after the cameras stopped.
From other reports, during the commercials after his match, Benoit got a long standing O. :)
