"Bewitched" Trailer

Normally, I look upon theatrical movies based on TV series with all the enthusiasm one reserves for fruit-canning competitions. I mean, the track record is just so good. Let's see: Batman the Movie, Star Trek 2... ah-yup.
However, the full trailer for Bewitched, starring Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman, has been released. And damn if it don't look at least a little interesting.
(Although someone really ought to tell Nicole that she's not actually twitching her nose, just her upper lip.)

Will Ferrell is kind of hit or miss with me, but this one might actually work... after all, it's not like anyone noticed when they swapped Darrens the first time. ;-)

To the nose twitch. It was something that the late lucious Elizabeth Montgomery added herself to the character, a strange childhood talent of hers.

Date: 2005-03-24 03:51 pm (UTC)I'm still not too pleased with the concept; it's like messing with Star Trek and turning it into Enterprise.
I really think I'd have preferred the first choice for "Darren" -- Jim Carrey. I think he'd have been a fine heir to Dick York. Shirley MacLaine, on the other hand, is a bloody brilliant choice for Endora.
