Okay.  Trying to move on with Stuff.  I have a commission Smithsong to finish writing, a bunch of cleaning, and one metric buttload of e-mail to catch up on.  Let me know what's going on in your neck of the woods.  Have fun, play nice.

Wallowing in my hatred of DST, and since its a long babysitting day at work, watching the Pope Show on CNN.

Congradulations on your entry into the Filk Hall of Fame! (What took them so long???) ;)

I am glad you had a good time overall. How was the concert in Buffalo?? Cync emailed me with way too short of notice to get to there or I would have looked into attending it (and FKO on short notice...)

Buffalo gig was great, as it was an excuse to hang with Rand and Adam and Shoebox and Joe and Carla and the Fibs. Lousy as a gig -- fewer audience than us, almost no sales for anyone. Sigh. But I did meet some nice folks and get some very good barbecue nextdoor at a place called Everything's Special.

I used to live in Buffalo (shudders) and Nietzche's always seemed like a bit of a hole, and never had a lot of people in it that I can recall. Don't think the barbecue place was up there when I lived there. I would have noticed, good food in Bufalo was an exceedingly rare commoddity...

FKO question...

Say, have you heard? The Pope died.

Now for a couple things that the Media HAVEN'T repeated several-thousand times in the past half-hour...

1. A bi-partisan, independently elected comission to investigate intelligence reports regarding WMD in Iraq have found the reports to be absolutely, %100 DEAD WRONG!

2. If I remember correctly, didn't the Pope ask President Bush to refrain from starting a war in Iraq?

Come on, you guys, I shouldn't be doing your job FOR you.

Still addicted to [livejournal.com profile] deadmentalking. My puppet finally got someone to play with, so I've been there fairly constantly. Am trying to write us a theme song, but it's got to involve socks, tea, history, and the abuse of the common strikethrough.

I'm thinking I ought to set it to a Queen song as well, considering how much royalty is floating about.

Tiny world. I know Pete Grubbs from one of our mutual attempts at going to college, in the late '80s.

Congradulations on your induction. Hope it's electrifying.

Hopefully Tom will zap you for your bad behaviour.

Of course, now that he's been inducted, we're going to have to call him Henry instead.

I'm giving up on Penguicon. I obviously don't rate any kind of response from them, so I'm not going to push it any further. I also have not heard a peep from ToBeCONtinued so I figure that one's not going to happen. In short, I don't know when our paths will cross again, Tom. But it's looking like probably Dragon*Con, since I'll be at Balticon on Memorial Day weekend.

Current mood: neglected, rejected, and dejected

Sorry for the me, me, me above. I meant to congratulate you on induction to the Filk Hall of Fame. There could possibly be someone who deserves it more than you, but I've never heard of them.

weather's finally nice in louisville. i built a message board for the first time, for conglom programming, and am learning more about the process every day. i'm in my last month of classes, and shopping for grad schools while i work on my writing portfolio to reapply to bloomington for next year. i just found out that not only am i scheduled to work on my birthday, i also have to deal with the circus that is a book signing in my store. but the new laurell k. hamilton book comes out the day before my birthday, so i'll have some nice fairy smut to help my brain recover after i graduate.
my neck of the woods is warm and sunny, and i'm slowly beginning to actually see the path i'm walking on without tripping over stuff.

In my neck of the woods it's warm, sunny, and an all-round lovely day :) Or it would be if i weren't trapped inside *sigh*

On the other hand, it means i have plenty of time to listen to my new CD *grin* As expected, it was waiting for me Friday evening - thankfully nice and dry, despite the pouring rain & occasionally leaky mailbox. Thanks for getting that out before your trip :)

hummm... well, after spending the entire weekend cursing the weather and the 8+ inches of snow that came with it, I suppose all is well here... it's now a nice comfy 49F as opposed to 29F yesterday at this time... and with temps above 50F the rest of the week, I really can't complain much except to say that I wish they weren't forecasting rain on my only day off...

Registered for classes at Hank High today. Now I have to wait for NAFTA to pay for them.

And I found out my old job is being turned into lofts. 70% of them are already taken. Downtown Ann Arbor -- don't even want to think about the rent.

The Eaton Ann Arbor factory (used to be G.T. Products) on First Street, behind Main Street. No more than three blocks or so from Main and Williams....
