Hi, Tom. (I don't expect you to recognize my username...my wife, Jane, and I were at the FKO banquet table with you.)

We are planning to be at our 13th consecutive Ad Astra. Given any excuse, I will probably also have a guitar somewhere in the vicinity...I think I'm getting hooked on this stuff. I see they have a filk session scheduled for 10:00 p.m. Friday. Are you expecting to be around for that or are you mostly doing Saturday things?

I wouldn't recognize the user name, but of course I remember you and your wife -- you were the one that Heather was saying writes three new songs for every house sing, correct? :) Yeah, I should be around for both Friday and Saturday sessions, although I may not stay up that late either night -- I really need to catch up on my sleep.

My weekend plans (ha!) involve the living room, buckets of paint, lots of yelling, paint thinner, bleeding, and deciding which kitty pawprints to touch up and which to leave alone.

plans for the weekend include but are not (really) limited to working, doing homework, washing my car, celebrating my birthday with my parents and might i add working. you will DEFINITELY be having more fun than i will. with the possible exception of sunday. a con it's not, but doing my birthday with my parents is still pretty cool.

SCA Crown Tournament for Southern California in that sprawling metropolis, Victorville. This affects the rest of the summer, if it's someone good we will enjoy our SCA more and if it's someone crappy we will do more filking and non-SCA stuff for a change. Actually a win-win situation come to think of it.

Tom, you do have your passport in order, right? You will want to come back into the US after all.

I-CON (NY) as the usual staff bit... Beyond that, who knows... Catching a filk group I only see at I-CON, spending TOO much money... I did hear that a filk dealer might be at I-CON this year.... (Its a good reason to get the Canadian filk if he is selling.) :) I-CON has not had a filk dealer since Tales from the White Hart stopped attending about 6-8 cons back.

At least Larry Smith will be happy with me. I have a few books to get from him.
