Greets, all! And a Happy Monday to you. Well, Ad Astra was a heck of a lot of fun, and I'd like to thank Alex Von Thorn, Gord Rose, and the rest of the team for making it a very pleasant time. And, to any of the filk newbies who got corrupted during my concerts: Welcome! Y'ain't seen nothin' yet.

I have to work on a few different things today -- finishing up the first version of a commissioned song, and gearing up for this weekend, which will feature A Very Special Early Version of 24-Hour Comics Day. Hint: Break out your old FFs and Thors.

Meantime, feel free to use this as an Open Thread. Have fun, play nice.

Bwa-ha-ha! And thanks for showing up and taking part -- hope to see you again! (Gotta get all those Ren & Stimpy and Animaniacs lyrics into my songbook -- when I finally clean up/overhaul my songbook....)

I plead unfamiliarity: It's not my (film) genre.

'Sokay. Besides, "Hellraiser earworm" has a better lilt to it than "Nightbreed earworm". (Now there's something you don't hear every day.)

His reply was the one right above yours. It *could* be his SCA name...

I was listening to The Pirates of Penzance the other day, and was wondering whether, if she were alive today, the nurse might not celebrate Talk Like A Pilot Day.

To me, way, hey, up, up, and away,
It's Talk Like A Pilot Day,
When "wings" aren't served as a spicy hors' dourves,
And "props" ain't what Ryan and Drew play,
When "struts" are for holdin' the wings from unfoldin',
And "chocks" ain't a vitamin pill,
We'll jump in the cockpit, take hold of the joystick,
And give everybody a thrill, yo ho.

"Why d'they call it a 'joystick', anyway?"
"Because 'big wanker' was already taken."
"Hey,
I didn't vote for the guy."
